It was a little far and very confuse for the direction to the hotel but once you get it right, it would then be okay, It is a roughly 10 minute walk from train station so not good for traveller with big stuffs, heavy or many luggages.

Initially was afraid cause I read some bad reviews from other users through agoda however it was not all that bad. The room was small but before putting out the tatami theres space for 3 people to sit crosslegged and share a bento meal the toilet however is extremely small and has a unique basin which can be swinged to conceal the toilet bowl to save space its an ingenious idea ! The tatami is also ok theres this big layer of something which I mistaken for blanked make sure u lie on it not under it its quite fluffy and will provide additional comfort or your back will feel the hard ground location wise its a little hard to find from ikebukuro oh but the best plus point is free fibre like speed internet in the room! And did I mention free coffee!

staffs were friendly with good english. rooms were rather small but acceptable for the rate and location in the heart of ikebukoro. a few convenient stores are located near the hotel with walking distant.

I chose the tatami room style, which was pretty small, barely enough for 2 tatami bed sets but not much space left for luggage. Restroom was also very small. The room should be for just 1 person but selling as twin/double is a bit unreasonable. For those taller than 175cm and choosing twin or double size, this one might not be the good choice for you.Have to get your towel everyday by yourself and they don't serve any water or glass in room, you have to get your own near lobby. This hotel is more like guest house than hotel.
Travel tip:
You have to bring your own toothpaste and brush.

Location isn't as close as it looks on the map

It looks really near the station on the map, but it's actually quite a walk from the JR Ikebukuro station.
Rooms are extremely tiny, but folding up the tatami creates extra space for packing your luggage.Surroundings are quiet at night, good if you're looking for an early night's rest.
Restaurant Tip:
There's a restaurant called Mutekiya Ramen (wu di jia ramen or invincible ramen for direct translation) at ikebukuro west exit. Definitely worth a the walk from the hotel.

Good service from counter service

Room is quie small as same as other hotels in Japan. In my opinion, location is a bit far from JR by 10 mins on foot but it is nearer for Subway. I really appreciate on counter service staff with good assistance on any request.
Nightlife Tip:
Many pubs locaed in that area and it suits for nightlife lovers

close to the overnight bus stop from osaka to tokyo

the night i spent there with a friend. the room is western style twin room. bus the room is rather small. the location is a bit far to find from the metro station. anyway, the staffs are very nice. they don't have much travel materials in the hotel, but they offer nice tips.

japanese style room is bigger

this is my 1st stay at this hotel. this time i tried the japanese style room, while the later time i tried the western style. the japanese style room is at the 3rd floor, much bigger.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
buy hakone 2 or 3 day trip pass from shinjuku. it is very lovely hot spring town 2-3 hrs away from Tokyo. Fuji mountain can be seen from there too.
