Great value for money

Budget hotel with nice staff, no shower in the room - shower is shared (men and women separately) but you can lock the door. Beds good enough, free coffee and tea in the lobby. Cheap considering that it is only one stop (4 min) from Tokyo station. Perfect value for money.

clean and comfy rooms, shame about the smoking

we stayed here for 2 nights. the hotel is reasonably central and close to 2 subway lines. the only thing we found uncomfortable was the smoking. although our room was a non smoking room, people were able to smoke in the common area which meant the smoke often infiltrated the room. this ultimately forced us to leave and seek other accommodation.

the place definitely is unique, the hallways have shelves and shelves of manga to browse (if you can read kanjis you might enjoy)

the place is kind of trashy, the interior is obviously a do it yourself job lol, it certainly has a character that is unique, the beds are old and you can feel the springs through the padding, the bathrooms are shared so if like showering with strangers its a bonus :) (oh and the towels provided are very flimsy) at the end of the day it could have been worse ? but there are better places to be had for the same price if you look around

The hotel is more like a hostel. However,it is good for the money you pay as long as you don't have asthma or something because smoking is allowed in the main lobby area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The lady there was soooo nice. I recommend if you are just looking for a bed to sleep!

Do not expect Western size rooms, but size is made up for by service, friendliness, location, shopping, and access to metros.
Restaurant Tip:
within 2 blocks is a Denny's with reasonably priced local food and excellent service. Great place to practice your Japanese.

we stayed at this place for 3 nights and found the hotels facilities to be sufficient. the staff were very helpful and accommodative. There are small shops nearby but not many food outlets in the vicinity. they even let us store our luggage overnight.
