Lovely hotel and service with a smile

The hote's location is very good, close to the subway station and easy to find restaurants there. The room is very small, same as most hotels in japan. The staff is kind and speak very good English.

Hotel is in a good central location on the metro line between Tokyo and Shinjuku stations. 2 minute walk from Yotsuya-sanchome metro station. Rooms are decently sized and well appointed. Free WiFi. Bed was very comfortable. Staff spoke very good English and were very helpful. A good stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Halfway between Shinjuku and Tokyo, this hotel offers great access for sightseeing.

Great value for money in a clean and well managed hotel. Rooms however are tiny and you can't open the windows. Staff at front desk all speak good English. No gym or pool.

Fairly good size room with modern and new decor :) for it's price. Downsides is you had to pay 1000 yen for cable TV for movie channels, thought it would be basic service to be provided. Also reception did not provide umbrellas for rainy days.
Travel tip:
Hotel is only about 15-20 mins walk from the busy Shinjuku shopping area, very convenient and pleasant walk around the area.

We stayed only for two nights as our first hotel option in Japan. Shopping around earlier this seemed to be the best value for money and after staying there we tend to agree. Room was as big as advertised, well kept and we even had the receptionist help book us our Kyoto accommodation over the phone for us. 4/5.

Perfect base for exploring Tokyo!

The hotel JAL City is perfectly placed for exploring Tokyo. Situated in Yotsuya, it is only 50m to nearest station which is just 2 stops (5 mins) to Shinjuku station. (Shinjuku station is a 15 min walk or about £10 in a taxi). Some nice places to eat close by, or if you fancy a break from Japanese food there is a Burger King next door and supermarket close by. The hotel itself is primarily a business hotel so this means the rooms are well equipped and very comfortable. The staff are extremely welcoming and always happy to help. English was understod by all the staff I spoke with. I stayed for 7 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend!
Hotel Feature Tip:
Try to have at least one meal in the hotel restaurant. The food is excellent. Budget about £40 for evening meal.
Both LAN and Wi-Fi available free in rooms.

This hotel was located next to family mart and 7/11 and walking distance to lots of restaurants. Subway entrance is right on the corner and only 3 stops to Shinjuku station which connects to Shibuya, Harajuku and everything in between. Taxi to Roppongi costs around 1,200 Yen for nightlife. Room itself is small as are standard for Japan but it's clean and doesn't smell. We travelled with a group of 8 and there were no complaints. The hotel does not provide power point converters so make sure you bring your own!

My friend and I thought we got everything we needed from our 1-night stay at the hotel. The room had a lot more space than most Japanese hotels and the facilities were quite good, too. The free wifi in the room was a major bonus however I thought it was odd that they didn't have wifi at the lobby. The hotel is surrounded by many restaurants and convenience stores. It is also a short walk from Yotsuya Sanchome station and is a few stops away from Shinjuku Station.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
I wouldn't advise you booking this hotel if you're looking to explore Tokyo since you'll have to make a lot of train-changes and walking from one train line to another could use up much of your time. It would be much better to book a hotel close to Shinjuku station as it hosts almost all train lines that take you to Tokyo's major attractions.

The JAL City hotel is conveniently located, 700 meters away from the Yotsuya Sanchome subway exit. Our Twin room was a comfortable size for our three-day stay and we enjoyed the various delicious options for breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful, lending us one of the various available plug adapters and keeping our luggage a few hours the day we arrived as well as the day we left.
Restaurant Tip:
Definitely worth making a reservation including breakfast!
