Tokyo Shinjuku
Location. Price. Nice and quiet but close enough to walk to all the hustle and bustle.

Affordable hotel in good location in Shinjuku
Location; breakfast; price
Nice, inexpensive, clean, quiet hotel with good breakfast each day. Friendly staff who spoke English. About a 15 minute walk to Shinjuku Train Station and very well located in the heart of Shinjuku on the east side of the station.

Location a bit far, but good overall.
Private area, convenience store across the street, quick checkout,
I was surprised that there was a 7 Eleven right across the street from it, so I was happy about that. Another thing that was great was that I stayed in the Annex building next to the main building, so I had my own private entrance to go to my room, instead of always having to walk through the reception people. The location is a bit far from Shinjuku station though. Shinjuku station is a bit of a maze itself, but I figured out which exit I needed to get out of that was closest to this hotel after lots of trial and error. Once you know where to get out of from Shinjuku station, then it's about a 10 min walk from there. My fastest time from leaving the hotel to getting on the train at JR Shinjuku station was 15 minutes. But I was walking pretty fast and knew where to go. My first day, it probably took over 30-45 min to figure out how to get to the hotel from the station. This hotel was a bit expensive actually. I found other hotels that were of the same quality, but much cheaper at $50/night. I think I paid around $70/night here, and that was on sale. Considering how far it actually is, I think it should be a tad bit cheaper. The only reason why I booked here was because it was the cheapest at the time I was looking for hotels. I really recommend this place, but Shinjuku station really is like a maze.
