Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Perfect hotel for a short stay in Tokyo
Close to metro station, only 10 min. by foot. Restaurants in neighbourhood.
7.3
We stayed for 5 nights in this hotel and it was perfect for our holiday. We could easily reach a lot of things to see in Tokyo. The room was small (16m2), but you know it before and compared to the price of the rooms a perfect price/prestation for a stay in Tokyo (if I would judge this hotel if it was in Europa I woud have given it another kwalification) bathroom was very tiny, but we didn't matter. Everyday we got new amenities. Only thing I dislike a bit was the smell in the lobby, the reason was the open restaurant.
If you arrive early or leaving late you can leave your luggage at the reception and the staff is very polite and helpful.
We enjoyed our stay!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Fishmarket, Shibuya, Shinjuku Government building for a view over Tokyo (for free, 45th floor).

We did not like the location.
Its in the middle of nowhere - the centre of the city is about 25 minutes away (walking distance).

Not a good stay, standard wise, perhaps you would get one of the better rooms, that I saw while the cleaning was taking place but our room was a great disappointment as were most of the facilities.

it was rather enjoyable, staff were friendly (though they did mess up a little when i checked out.i couldnt get my luggage for a while because they forgot to give me a chip to collect it..was troublesome but eventually settled)
like all japanese hotels, movies were pay-to-watch..not worth.
Travel tip:
stay only in one hotel so you dont have to keep moving your heavy luggage bags..else,travel light.

Listel
Location was only a few blocks from Shinjuku. Price was reasonable.
6.3
Perfectly fine for a few days in Tokyo but if I were staying longer I'd opt for a place with a better breakfast (truly, the Listel's was very unappealing, despite the friendly staff), as well as a slightly better ambiance. The Listel is good value for the money but needs a bit of updating around the edges.

Cleanliness, Helpful service, good location

It will take some time to walk from the Shinjuku sanchome to the hotel - like about 10 minutes or so. The nearest exit from Shinjuku sanchome to the hotel is exit E2. It was a pleasant stay in summary.
