Great hotel, excellent value for money

My background: solo traveller from Australia, have previously live in Japan. Stayed at Hotel Lungwood for nearby study/work purposes.
The hotel: Great location in Nippori, 1 minute walk from train station. Rooms are immaculately clean, modern and well set out. Kettle and tea provided, I also had a small fridge. Bathroom immaculately clean. Rooms are small as are most Japanese hotels. I booked a semi double and found this comfortable for one. Wifi in room.
ATM in the lobby accepts Cash Passport cards. The hotel staff speak several languages including English (can’t comment on this as I used Japanese). Staff were very helpful – for example they sell power-point adapters (which I had forgot to pack) and allow you to leave your luggage at the hotel for the day if needed after you check out.
Surrounding area (Nippori): If you are visiting Japan for a holiday and particularly if it is your first time to Japan I would recommend staying in the larger and more central areas such as Shinjuku or Ginza (much more fun, more shops and restaurants). However Nippori is a good alternative and a good base if you need to be in this area of Tokyo – small but plenty of shops and restaurants around.
Access: You can go straight to Nippori station from Narita airport by taking the SkyLiner train rather than the Narita Express. You’ll see the counter opposite the Narita Express counter.
Nippori station is on the JR Yamanote line which goes to several key areas of Tokyo including Asakusa, Harajuku, Shibuya and Shinjuku.
