It was good. Very good location as it is near to train stations. Lots of local eateries and convienience stores too, which will prove useful. Close to Ueno pakr as well

Decent hotel in a central area
Not far from central train hub - comfortable room - good breakfast

Japanese style room was quite small but glad it had a bathroom in it. Couldn't try the dinner because it was busy with students but breakfast was good.

The Hotel Marutani located in the shopping area with lots of good restuarant and just 10 minutes walk to Ueno Park where is a good place for relax.
It also located in a perfect spot for transportation, 300 metres away from JR ueno station, 300 metres from rapid serviced train station that depart from Narita Airport and only just 100 metres from tokyo subway.
The room is not too small and comfort enough for single person but room's condition is a bit too old.
Marutani's staffs are friendly, they will help you as much as they can although their english are not so good.

We are very convenince for travelling by subway, only 3 minute walk, Have a famous Market nearby, Many Resturant also. Clean Room and Staff are nice. Small room but valuable as expense.

The location is very good. Easy to go anywhere, just 3 minutes to the subway and station. Easy to go shopping and easy to find good restaurants. There is a bath at B1. The view is quite nice, when open the window can see the sky tree.

Room too warm without separate air con control panel. All centralized and blowing hot air all the time. Windows cannot be opened. No fan for ventilation. Children suffer.

Testing apart from Spa.
Spa for relaxing after busy day and location for market, stations, food and stalls

Last hotel before returning to Melbourne and need e a good rest. Single thin futon made first nights sleep impossible - hip replaced in November but in good shape and my partner had same problem. We obtained extra futons to enable sleep the next night with a little difficulty. Our Japanese terrible, their English inadequate. Spa or Onsen was good but internet slow which made for frustrating and costly net use. This hotel did have double rooms available but we could only find Japanese style on Agoda site. Would not stay there again. Bathroom was smallest module in our whole trip and showering was difficult and I am not a big guy or a fussy traveller.
