Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Reasonable price in Ikebukuro
Easily Access by JR / Metero

The location is the biggest advantage of this hotel. Around 6 minutes walk from metro / JR station. The hotel itself is a terminus of Airport Limousine so that it is good for travellers with bulky luggage.

Great Location but small rooms !
8.7
Great location and probably an area that would often be overlooked. The nightlife is awesome with so many places to eat so late at night.
The service was really good here too.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Must explore this area !

best location!

in most of my travels to japan in several occasions, i did walk pass by this hotel but never really stayed at the place until this latest trip. ikebukuro is one of the busiest area in tokyo and its jr and other subway station connect directly to many famous stations, especially the yamanote line. so it's among the first choices when selecting an area to stay in tokyo for me!
while the room rate is not that cheap, metropolitan's location and its strength of being an airport bus stop truly make the price reasonable. i found ikebukuro's west side a bit 'more relaxing/ quieter' with cafes, restros, departments stores comparing to the east which is 'more crowded/ livelier' with electronic stores, malls and a lot of bars. so it much depends on your preference which side of the station you wanna stay! (there's also a sign for this hotel when you take the west exit from jr, just look for metropolitan exit and you're safe)
cleanliness is quite common for japan accommodations, although this place shows their age as soon as you enter the premise and see the interior, it's been well taken care of. the bathroom size is a bit small and decorated in outdated style and it's the part i like the least. but that's the only obvious downside i found. hotel staffs speak very well english (for japanese hotels) and seem experienced, certainly well-mannered. there's only one incident i felt a bit disappointed when asking for an additional night booking and they turned down the request as "the hotel was fully booked for 2 months". however, when checking on agoda just 30 mins later, there were still a few rooms available and i could easily book 1 more night.....hmm
