Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Location is wonderful to get around by JR and Metro, not as busy as Shinjuku.Using gym will cost extra though,we got discount coupon for breakfast but you would find many places nearby to eat for less.
The room is small as expected, the free English newspaper is a nice bonus.
Travel tip:
From the front entrance, turn right for 100m.You'll find a nice supermarket.

Great location but small rooms
7.7
Within 5 minutes walk to Ikebukuro Station which is the 2nd busiest station in the world. Many lines serve this station & you can go almost anywhere in Tokyo from here.
Room are small but that's usual for JP.
The airport express bus (Narita & Haneda) stops at this hotel which makes it really convenient. Compared with cab ride, this is very much more cost effective.
However, there is no in-room safe & you'll have to keep your valuables with the safe-deposit boxes.
Shopping Tip:
Loads of shopping & restaurants in the area within walk distance. with the sub-way station, easy access to anyway.

Great Location with big room
8.3
The hotel is strategically located with lots of food outlets and shopping malls. It is easily assessible and just a 3 min wlk from the train station. The hotel staff are friendly and can communicate in English well so we have no comminication problem with them.
The toilet is big with a strong water pressure. I enjoyed the shower. The room is also very clean and spacious. It is really a good choice to stay in this hotel.

Excellent location with friendly staff

the staffs are very friendly and speak english well. the main reason i chose this hotel is the location. it's just 5 mins walk to the nearest station and there's a very big shopping mall on top of the station. you can get most of the branded stuffs there.

Good location - but -
Location and getting to/from Hotel via Airport Limousine
5.3
While location good, there is some underlying terms not mentioned like yes they have Wi-Fi - but only if you bring a laptop with you; yes they have a pool - but its $25US daily charge for use. Also because of the 'great room rate' - that was because it was a 'smoking room' - they charge extra to move you if you're unhappy. While the concierge was English speaking they were not always in tune with what was happening in the City - what an English visitor is interested in as opposed to paying the high cost of the 'tours' they are pushing at the time.
Restaurant Tip:
A lot of the restaurants have 'smoking' where they don't seem to care about the people who do not smoke or want to have their meal in the middle of smoke - where the hotels/department stores have areas for smoking outside - weird. Also, some of the restaurants will give you appetizer(s) - that you did not order - but if you eat - you have to pay - so sometimes you'll be charged $7 or $8 or more extra. It is proper to not accept it - then you wont' be charged/taken off bill.

Great location with reasonable sized rooms
Next to subway, food & shopping
9
This hotel is always my first choice whenever I travel to Tokyo. It is a stone's throw from Ikebukuro subway station. There are shopping centers nearby Tobu, Parco, Loft etc. Electronic shops Bic Camera, Pharmacy such as Matsumoto Kiyoshi. All sorts of food you can find in the departmental store supermarkets, or if you have spare cash, there are also fine dining nearby.
Restaurant Tip:
Must Try:
Muteki Ramen, ask the hotel for directions to the bookstore JUNKUDO, the ramen shop is situated opposite the road of the bookstore. There are 4 or 5 ramen shops there, look for the one with a long queue, that's Muteki Ramen.

Good facilities and nice & clean room
Just 2 minutes to Ikebukuro station
9.7
it is very convenience to come to the hotel from narita airport. there is a limousine directly to the hotel with a fee of person. anyway, it took about 1.5 hours in rush hour to arrive hotel. just opposite the hotel you can find the fire department which you can take a drill on simulated earthquake room. you will get the real shacked which you could event stand.
