Good stay for the money
Subway station across the street. Friendly staff.

Good hotel for a good price. We had three people in a room, so it was a little cramped but not uncomfortably so. Well located for hopping on the subway and traveling throughout Tokyo. The pillows and beds were a little hard, but that seems to be the case throughout Japan.

Hotel Monterey Hanzomon
Just across the road from the very central Hanzomon subway station. Very easy to get there to and from Narita Airport. The hotel room is very sparse but is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is simple but good.
7.3
In general, I enjoyed my stay at Monterey Hanzomon. The location is good and for lone travellers or couples, it is sufficiently well-appointed. There is a 24 hour convenience store just round the corner and several small restaurants in the area if you want to grab acquick bite nearby. It is a no frills hotel so if you are looking for a convenient location and reasonable rates, this is it.
Shopping Tip:
There's a 24 hour am/pm convenience store just round the corner across the street from hotel.

Great Location
Next to noodle shop, across the street from Hanzomon subway station, Exit 5, two blocks from AM/PM convenience store, close to sit-down Japanese & Chinese restaurants, deli, and pastry places!
Very neat rooms, friendly service, free and fast internet, good size double room, and complimentary robes, slippers, tooth paste sets, etc. during stay. Have option to extend stay for 1000 Yen for each additional hour.
10
Good central location for subway, sightseeing around Tokyo, and good & cheap eats!
Restaurant Tip:
The coin-operated noodle places make their own noodles! A bowl of soba is 290 Yen! The one next door to the hotel has breakfast option. The one two blocks away is less crowded and can speak a bit of English.

Overall satisfied with stay
location--right in front of subway, modern decor, really cute bathroom
7.7
It was nice that the hotel was directly in front of a subway entrance. Although you will probably travel at least 15-20 min on the subway to get anywhere interesting, but that's expected anyway. We thought that the hotel was within walking distance to the Imperial Palace, which it is if you are really down to walk because the entrance to the Imperial Palace is closer to Tokyo Station which is like a 30-45 minute walk from the hotel.
The hotel had two pcs, you could get on the internet--500Yen for 10 minutes.
The bathroom had like a 50s decor. It was really cute.

Monterey Hanzomon - Value for money
Great location, clean and efficient service, no frills but great value for money!
8.3
The hotel is clean, well located in central Tokyo and is great value for money. The free internet works (if you have a laptop) and the bathrooms are spacious and well appointed. The hotel is relatively quiet. As with all hotel rooms in Tokyo, it's small but comfortable but for people who don't intend to spend too much time in the room it should perfectly good.
Restaurant Tip:
Visit the various restaurants around the hotel for good Japanese food.

Hotel Hanzomon
Easy to find. Just Opposite from Hanzomon Station.
There is a resturant for food just beside the hotel so its pretty convenient.
Hotel is smaller than what the picture seems to look. But I would say its bigger than average size in Japan. Its clean and new.
7.3
There is no direct bus from airport Narita to the hotel. So plan your route before you come. Take the Keisei Line Limited Express to Yawata/Moto-Yawata change to Jimbocho and to Hanzomon. Seems complicated but not at all. Its just tranfser of line and It takes about 78min to reach hotel from Narita.
Restaurant Tip:
There is resturants around the hotel. And there is one just beside the hotel. Food is quite good and price is reasonable so could give it a try!!

Close to Imperial Palace
The Monterey Hanzomon is a clean and solid business hotel. It is close to Imperial Palace and the surrounding park. It's also close to a subway station and relatively close to the JR Station (10 minute walk).
7.7
As with most Monterey hotels, there's not much to complain about the Monterey Hanzomon. The hotel is decent and clean, the rooms are nice albeit on the small side (unless you pay $10 per day per person extra for an upgrade). The location is great for sightseeing, as the Imperial Palace is nearby and there's a subway stop across the street.

Hotel Monterey Hanzomon
Great proximity to the subway, free breakfast, clean room, comfortable bed, great shower!
9
Hotel Monterey Hanzomon was fantastic! I stayed for five nights in early May and found the staff extremely accommodating and friendly. The location is unbeatable - right across the street from Hanzomon station (exit 5) so you can easily traverse the city. The free breakfast was fantastic (an $18.00 value!) and my room was very clean and a good size for a single. Be sure to bring an Ethernet cord when you come for the free Internet, and the bed / bathroom are very comfortable and clean. Overall, I was very impressed and plan to stay here the next time I'm in Tokyo.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Strolling the Imperial Gardens is a must. There are also a ton of restaurants and a great bakery on the same street.
