Location near subway, quiet
This is a single travelers/business travelers hotel. When you exit the Hanzomon station (#5 Hanzomon line), find Exit 5 and walk up, the hotel is right across the street. At the end of the day this is the best feature of this hotel as I found myself limping to the finish line after a day of sightseeing. As a single traveler I found the hotel to be perfect, quiet and safe. Staff are helpful and friendly, expect difficulty in speaking English everywhere you go, that's the beauty of travel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you are at all claustrophobic avoid rush hour on the subway at all costs. I took a taxi to Tokyo station the morning of my departure to avoid it. You've seen the pictures of commuters being squeezed into the train by white-gloved attendants.

Close to transport, quiet neighbourhood. Large room, good breakfast
Exceeded my expectations for a business hotel. It was across the road from a subway station and the rooms were larger than typical business hotels. Breakfast was incl and was very substantial. My room was also upgraded free of charge. Would definately stay here again

central location
great value
spacious room (for tokyo)
comfy bed
spacious bathroom
no room service or opportunity for food besides the buffet breakfast
no snacks in vending machines
our stay was great. super value for the location and quality of the hotel. our room was spacious and comfy but was in slightly rough shape (lots of scuff marks on the walls, stains on the carpet, etc.) but general very clean.
for some reason, the cleaning staff only replaced one coffee cup the first night, then just stopped replacing/cleaning the cups and replacing the little instant coffee packets altogether.

Great location; Good sized rooms (by Japanese standards); Helpful, kind staff.
A few reviewers here complained that "the rooms were too small". The only explanation for such a silly complaint is that those reviewers have never experienced any other hotels in the Tokyo area. We've reached the Monterey Hanzomon after a long and frustrating journey through a series of other hotels in comparable price range. Most of them were so tiny there was literally not enough floor space to open our suitcases; comparably, our double room in the Monterey Hanzomon was positively huge. The location, also, was fantastic - literally across the street from the subway station, in the quiet and friendly neighbourhood of Hanzomon, smack in the center of Tokyo. The staff spoke little - but enough - English, and were extremely kind and helpful with any request. Our luggage, which we deposited in the hotel the day prior to our check-in, have been delivered directly to our room. Overall the Monterey Hanzomon was a great experience, and we will without question stay there again if we return to Tokyo.
Hotel Feature Tip : Although the hotel offers laundry service, the staff are very happy to offer you a map to a cheap laundromat that is 15 minutes' walk away.

Cheap, clean, conveniently located, some English among the staff
Aircon not that stable. Nightdress left behind after one stay not recovered whn next we checked in.
We had three stays here over a two-week period and all were very comfortable. The hotel kept our luggage during some side trips out of Tokyo.
Travel tip : Bring your own muesli and coffee. Get a pot of noodles at the nearby AM/PM and use the empty pot for breakfasts!

Price, quiet neighborhood
small rooms and beds, dirty room carpets and walls
Wife and I stay at this hotel for nine nights for our Tokyo vacation. This hotel is average in our book. Hotel is located in a quiet business neighborhood, so evenings are very quiet and there are not much restaurants to choose from. However, the Hanzomon subway station is right across the street so going out to other areas to eat was not a problem.

Great location - not in the hustle and bustle of other parts of Tokyo but very accessible to those areas.
Room was in need of a bit of a spruce up. Otherwise very good.
Hotel Feature Tip : Very easy to find once you get out of the Hanzomon Station at exit 5.

Good Location
Good services
Nice Hotel
Good transportation
not many shopping around hotel
a little bit quiet at night but safe enough
Good Hotel, comforatable, great location near the Metro just in front of the Exit#5 of Hanzomon, Metro Station, very easy to move around Tokyo and easy to connect to Shinkasen Stations. Price is ok, Room is clean and good supplies as the Interantion Hotel. Located in the Office Area of Hanzomon but easy for going out to shopping or sight seeing areas.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : buy Metro one day pass

Clean, modern, easy to find
We had semi double room, the bed is a little bit small for two adults.
Overall, very good choice in Tokyo. Definitely recommend to everyone. And will probably stay there again next time. Location is at Hanzomon, where only Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line goes through. Needed to transfer once to get to Tokyo Station. But we bought Tokyo Metro 2-day and 1-day pass at the airport (its a lot cheaper to buy at the airport than at the metro stations, especially for 2-day pass), which are extremely convenient to use. We didnt have any meals at their dining place, it was quite expensive, over NZ$25 for a buffet breakfast. There's a couple of 24-hour convenience stores just around the corner where you can get yummy hot meat buns, and everything else.

Opposite to subway entrance, convenient location,
but have to take subways to major attractions, cannot walk to any of it.
Room size is small, meets average Japanese hotel standards, breakfast is not bad. Generally meets average 3 star Japanese hotel
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Convenient to Omotesando and Shibuya area, but need trasfer to Shinjuku

The hotel is located near to the subway, the subway exit is just opposite to the hotel. Room is very spacious with ample moving space and toilet design is very unique. Good maintenace by the hotel staff on the room cleanliness.
Only 1 restaurant next to the hotel
a hotel value for money with a spacious room allowing sufficient moving space as compared to most hotel rooms in tokyo with very modern style design. location of hotel is just opposite hanzomon subway exit and hotel staffs are friendly and helpful in providing information with capability to converse in english.
Hotel Feature Tip : Bigger rooms as compared to rest of the hotels rooms in Tokyo.
