Beautiful Setting, convenient to the JR and Metro and lots of Retro Charm.
Unless you have the big bucks rooms are on the small size (but, heh this is tokyo). Excercise room is fairly basic.....
Had a perfect stay. After 7 days we did not want to leave. Flawless service, all the amneities. Great location 2 blocks from nightlife and restaurants galore. The 400 year old gardens include a tea house resturant. Better garden than even the Imperial Palace!
Restaurant Tip : One of the few remaining original Trader Vics is in this hotel & With a view out over the Gardens

Excellent location with choice of lines within 8 minutes' walk
Spacious hotel
Friendly + helpful staff
Great selection of restaurants
Availability of Chapel in Hotel grounds for Sunday services
High charges for internet usage; usually free of charge in high quality hotels such as New Otani
Being charged for using swimming pool & sports centre - this should definitely be free in hotels of such standing
Bathrooms are quite old
Another good stay at the New Otani. The service from staff is always excellent & courteous. Being on a business trip, it would have been useful if the shoe shine was more readily available in the hotel. The range of restaurants + the wide levels of quality is excellent.
