Great hotel with superb staff.
Service was superb, room has very nice view of Mt. Fuji, and hotel staffs were very helpful and honest.

The lobby at the main wing was very nice. The hotel staffs were very helpful, kind and respectful. Although the carpet has stains, the room we got at the Garden Court has a great view of Mt. Fuji on a very clear day. Areas that would improve the hotel further are provision of free purified drinking water bottles and free internet access in specified areas. Overall, it was wonderful and memorable experience staying at the hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The Japanese Garden is a wonderful feature of the hotel.

Overall good, I have found out that the hotel is really close to train station, which really help us a lot especially in winter time. The hotel is huge and almost got everything you need. However, we found out that we have miss some super market inside the hotel when we leaving, so I suggest hotel should provide more info about itself in another way rather that documentary way. Coz sometimes I don't like to read.
The food is also good but I can not find Chinese restaurant and thai restaurant.
But anyway, i like it.

Really impressive area and a grand entry. Large and rambling,a bit confusing as to which parts of Hotel are the most desirable and how you can best enjoy the ambience of the gardens etc. Stay in the main, with a garden view. Big picture windows etc. Restaurants are charming but expensive. Go to the arcades for a cheaper meal. Staff are attentive and friendly.

Stayed several times, you must only stay in the Main Wing. The Garden Tower is far from the lobby and the rooms are not as great, a little dated.
There is a beautiful Japanese garden and a beautiful chapel (popular place for weddings there)
5 mins walk to the Akasak-Misuke Train line and 8 mins walk to variety of shops and restaurants.
Beautiful Skybar and restaurant! Revolving too!

While the New Otani is undoubtedly a great hotel, I would not rate it as great value. The service is very good, but that is expected in a Japanese hotel. We did not avail ourselves of the many restaurants as we found them too expensive.
Shopping Tip:
On the arcade level, there is a shop selling Japanese ceramics and woodblock prints that offers good merchandise at reasonable prices.

Despite the strong yen, the price was quite reasonable compared to what you'd pay in NY or London, and the service is outstanding. The room wasn't large -- this is Tokyo, after all -- but more than adequate for a solo business traveler.
