Good service with trained staff. An old time 5 star hotel. It's not a new stylistic hotel. Old fashioned but they give you a comfort that you need when you are traveling abroad. Reliable services every time. Breakfast included, which makes it a good value. Good quiet location. Under stated decor but good clean facilities though out. They get my vote everytime.
Shopping Tip : I bought lovely art work from Yokohama, a shop at Okura arcade. It was a great experience, good service and knowledgeable staff.

Provides quiet comfort and good value for a 5 star hotel. Little outdated decor in the public area. The business center is bit pricey and their computer is slow. Should improve in this area. Old time 5 star hotel still provides great service. Located in quiet location (across from American Embassy) and gives you a safe feeling. Loved Japanese breakfast at the Terrace restaurant. Enjoyed Chinese food at Tokairin restaurant- one of the best Chinese food, bit expensive though.
Shopping Tip : I have bought few Japanese artworks at the hotel arcade "Yokoyama". They have wonderful prints and some antique objects which are delightful.

I really consider Okura Hotel a wonderful place to stay in Tokyo. The quality/price ratio is very good; definitely I shall chose Okura again when I go back to Tokyo.
Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel has a very good bookstore with many books about Japan in English

The airport limousine bus is exceptionally convenient and we highly recommend it. We checked out after breakfast, left our luggage with the hotel and spent a full day in Tokyo, returning at 5pm for the 2 hour trip to the airport. The hotel is located three or so subway stops from great shopping, etc but the immediate surroundings do not have anything desirable to travellers unless they are there on business.

Overall, we had a great stay and look forward to our next visit to Japan.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We did the Grand Full Day tour of Tokyo organised with one of the bus lines through the hotel and it was excellent value and great fun. We saw so much of the city in such a short time and it wasn't too expensive and included lunch near the Ginza which was a bonus. An excellent day of sightseeing and culture.

I would love to have a longer stay at this hotel. Having a bellboy to hold open the lift doors for you, doormen to assist non-Japanese speakers with getting a taxi to the right destination, is typical of the very high level of service available.

Fairly opulent and quite a high standard of accommodation. Inconvenient location if not taking a taxi. While the hotel is well-located in relation to Tokyo in general, arriving at the doorstep of this hotel is no small feat without a taxi or other personal motorised transport. The nearest subway station is a good 10-15 minute hike away and we noticed no buses serving the immediate area to cut down on the journey. Prepare to either take taxis often or to take long walks before seeing public transit.

If you are into architecture or design, or just appreciate something aesthetic, I would definitely recommend Okura. Make sure you get a room in the 'old section' as the rooms in the 'new section' are probably not as cool. Actually I was in the new section, but a bit disappointed with the decor, etc. I wish I would have stayed in the old section. But the new section was cheaper and very comfortable so it's up to you. I would definitely go back.

There is a museum just right next to the hotel which is worth visiting. In fact, we didn't realize that it is free to guest until the last day of our stay.
Restaurant Tip : Try the pasta in the hotel cafe/restaurant. One of the best we have ever had
