after a 14 hour NYC-TOK flight Parklane was a relief, internet (bring your cord), deep bathtub, 1 block to metro
semidouble is a small bed, tv is only 12 channels in japanese, room is tiny
we liked the parklane very much. It is one block to the metro 1.5 hours from narita airport...after a 14 hour NYC-TOK flight Parklane was a relief, internet (bring your cord), deep bathtub, 1 block to metro blue line.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : very close to super levees and canals with nice canal parks close by...fun to watch the busy tokyo atmosphere at a clean metro 1 block away. all services within a block

- Very accomodating: I arrived very early, and they allowed me to check-in 4 hours early.
- The all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet was excellent: eggs, ham, miso, rice, 2 types of fish - reasonably priced meal as well.
- Clean rooms.
- Far from Central Tokyo: it was about a 30 minute ride on the Metro.
I stayed here because it was a good value in Tokyo, and it was a good experience. I only stayed one night, but I arrived early and they allowed me to check in 4 hours early. My favorite feature was the breakfast buffet which was relatively inexpensive and included eggs, ham, miso, rice, and 2 types of fish. The close proximity to Disney is a good selling point, but the negative is it's about a 30 minute subway ride to Central Tokyo on the Toei Line.
Shopping Tip : There are several 100 yen shops right under the train and in the surrounding neighborhood. Great value. I was able to buy everything from socks to headphones for a little more than a buck.

Free Internet and friendly staff
15 minute train ride outside of Tokyo where most of the places you visit are
The parklane hotel allowed me to keep my accomodation costs down. The hotel had free internet, and good shower and bathroom facilities the tv was a good size and for a single traveller the single room was satisfactory. The train station is one street over from the hotel and if getting off the train it's on the south exit. My only issue I had was the 15 minute travel every day on one of japans conjested rail lines the toazi line. I would stay here again but only if it was for a long stretch of time say 2 weeks or more. Room service provide clean towels daily
Travel tip : Buy a pasmo rail pass you will need it for easy train travel

very close to metro station,
clean atmosphere,
cheap,
free internet.
some of the receptionists had very poor English
single suite is quite cramped
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.
The main draw for me was its proximity to the metro station. The internet service was fairly slow and I had to ask the front desk for a network patch cable since there was none in my room and the hotel does not offer wireless internet.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : This hotel is located very close to Disneyworld Resort, and is about 30 minutes from Shibuya district.

Excellent service. Very professionnal, helpful and civil.
The single room is small, but very well equipped and the air conditionning is nothing short of perfect.
Small rooms. Early check out.
I came in from Narita and found very helpful the information on the hotel's site to get to Nishi Kasai (bus + 1 tube station). Check in is 2 p.m. but the reception kept my luggage until then very efficiently. My stay was otherwise very agreeable.Service is impeccabe for an hotel of this standard. As for the location, Edogawa Ku is not far from the center. The tube station is just a few meters away and you get to Nihonbashi in just 15 minutes. It's perfect!
The neighborhood is friendly and well furnished with restaurants, combinis, even bookstores!
Final remark: the price : very cheap for Tokyo.
Excellent bargain. I would advise it for anybody willing to discover Tokyo on an economy basis, while still enjoying an excellent service.
Hotel Feature Tip : Do not hesitate to leave your luggage to reception while waiting for check-in time. they're very helpful, secure and professional.

Close to the MRT. Close to eating places. Alot, of stores and conveniences nearby. English speaking desk. Clean hotel. Restaraunt in lobby. Rates are very competitive. Good a/c.
This is a great hotel for many reasons. I was on holiday and this hotel was great. I would stay here again. First off, it is really close to the MRT station(exit station, cross the street, go 1/2 a block to next street, turn left, go 1/2 a block, hotel on the right). Anyway, take the MRT to anyplace you want to go it's very convenient. If you don't want to go anywhere-there is plenty right in the vicinity. There is a Macdonalds opposite the train station away from the hotel as well as other fast food and local food. Shopping also, within blocks there are small malls, etc. The best thing-is the free internet. All other hotels charge high for this so, if you need internet-this is the place. For the price-it really is hard to do better; I even got to keep the nice robes from the room. The staff are nice and helpful. The hotel was in a nice area but, most attractions were far away and required the MTR-it is a good location however, for Disney. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The room wasn't very big but, manageable and clean. I didn't eat in the restaurant as, I wanted to experience the local dishes-which were very good.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Get a 1-2 day tourist visitor pass for the MRT; the one that includes both lines-it will help to transit this hotel. It makes it SUPER convenient-instead of queing to buy tickets from machines all day.

Close to subway -- very, actually...but not disturbed by it in any way. Pleasant and helpful staff. Probably also the few in the area who speak English. Compact and neat rooms.
Hardly anybody in Japan speaks English...and that is their right. Nothing unpleasant about the hotel. ATMs and banks generally do not accept foreign debit/credit cards.
Parklane Nisha-kasai is a friendly place and situated about 30 minutes from Tokyo metro, on the Tozai line, and easily accessible if you are arriving without much dragging baggage. You can also take the Kasai bus from Narita (credit cards accepted at the airport), but will need 1500 yen in cash for the return, from Kasai bus station (on the opposite side of the road, when arriving by train from Nisha-kasai)...that is, in front of the Mister Donut. The bank just outside the Nisha-kasai station (again, opposite a Mister Donut) on the side that Hotel Parklane stands will do currency exchanges.
Travel tip : There are at least two internet cafes opposite the station, and they offer cheaper rates. Though, remember the clientele is largely Japanese speaking, and therefore so are the keyboard defaults. You "can" manage with English.
Also, remember that there are two companies servicing the Tokyo subway...and therefore some lines may not be accessible to you if you buy only the Tokyo Metro day pass. Not to worry, you may just need to go further on some lines and take another connection. Accessibility to places does not suffer, even when convenience might be compromised a bit.

clean, helpful, free shuttle to disney (which by Taxi is over $20)
Can't check in until 3 and if you want them to call you a Taxi, it is 3 extra dollars
The stay at the hotel was very nice. Although I couldn't check in officially until 3pm, my luggage was stored behind the front desk. It is fairly close to the bus drop off for the airport, so transportation was fairly simple. They also gave free rides to and from Disneyland. However, the pick up location was a bit complicated to find and I ended up paying a taxi to come and get me and my daughter. The room was clean and very nice. There were no "English speaking" channels, but I didn't watch T.V. anyway. Internet access is expensive - so beware of that. All in all, is was a very nice place - especially if your main objective is to stay in a nice, affordable place that is close to Disneyland. Other places within shuttle range were over 200 a night.
Hotel Feature Tip : Maybe try to figure out the pick-up spot for disneyland when you are dropped off. Ask if you can be driven to the spot in order to have a visual. It is difficult to find help at the end of the night!

this is a little outside of the areas tourists might want to be in but it is located directly next to a subway station so it is really easy to get around. The low price and easy accessibility to the subway station are two major pluses and overall made me really happy.
The internet! Charged $1 for every 5 minutes in the lobby, pretty ridiculous.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You can't actually see the hotel sign from the subway station exit but don't worry, it's right there! Just ask information at the subway station and they will point you in the right direction. (you have to walk around a building)

(1) About 2 - 3 mins walk to / from the train station.
(2) Free Shuttle to DisneyLand.
A very helpful Receptionist, has been very helpful to both me and my wife.
We want to buy 2 Bus tickets to the Narita Airport but we do not know where and how to buy. the reception assisted us in escorting us to a nearby convenience store, named FamilyMart, and help us to purchase the tickets through some kind of multi-function ticketing machine, which is of lower prices as well.

Clean, Friendly, Affordable, Very close to Nishikasai Station for the Tokyo Metro Tozai line. Broad range of eateries nearby.
I spent just over 2 weeks at the ParkLane and enjoyed it immensely. My friends were booked in a hotel in central tokyo - so I had a daily commute of 45 minutes to reach Akasak from Nishikasai station - which in all honesty is an acceptable tradeoff for the price and quality of the hotel. I'm happy to have stayed there and in future I'll be sure to consider it :) I did not sample the hotels cuisine.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Nishikasai is within walking distance to both Odaiba and Tokyo Disney resorts.

Comfortable beds, nice TV, and good bathroom.
No extra facilities such as spa, sauna, gym, pool. Expensive Internet, and a fair way out (although easily reached on the subway).
Good staff and most of the desk spoke at least some English. The hotel was a long way out from central Tokyo, but was easily enough reached in 25 minutes on the subway. Rooms were adequate but were less roomy than anywhere else I've stayed in the world. Few facilities, really just a nice place to wash and sleep, but little more.
Restaurant Tip : One of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever been to was a block away. Free chips and salsa, and a free drink with a combo meal. Pretty cheap too, had plenty of food for 1200 yen.

Near the metro station Nishi Kasai Very own Quality Service
Check in after 15 h. Obliged to pay 35 USD for a check in earlier Un peu loin des attractions of the city No WIFITV and Japanese only 10 channels.
After a rather cold welcome for Japan but in perfect English, I must pay 35 USD to enter my chanbres at 10 h instead of 15h regulations. The room is very small but very clean and well equipped kettle, hairdryer, TV (no channels Internationall, Aye!). Room service quality with a clean uniform every day, practice out of the shower. Air conditioning and perfect practice. By not against WIFI floors and impossible to connect to the network at the home. The metro station is 200 m but you will need a good 1 / 4 of an hour to reach the underground downtown. More to the tourist.
Hotel Feature Tip : Arrive after 15 pm! Take subway tickets for the day at 700 yen.
