Out of all the hotels we looked for in Tokyo, we decided to settle on this one as it was the one of the few places that offered free Wi-fi (which can be quite difficult to find in this city). We were actually quite surprised at how nice everything here was for the price we paid. We were also surprised at how large the room was, especially in a place like Japan where hotel rooms are notoriously small. The bathroom was well stocked with anything you could possibly need, and we were given complimentary water that was restocked everyday. As others have mentioned, there is an awkward circular window located next to the bed that looks into the bathroom, which may be an issue for some people. Outside of that, I can easily say that this was one of the better hotel experiences I've had in Japan.
Restaurant Tip:
The hotel is located near Tokyo Station, which houses tons of amazing restaurants. If you're a fan of ramen, be sure to check out ramen street, which is located in the station.

hotel ryumeikan tokyo is located right in the heart of tokyo (just beside tokyo station). this is not only fantastic for business travelers, it is also convenient for leisure guests as tokyo is accessible to all parts of tokyo including akihabara (towards the north) and shinjuku (towards the west). as tokyo station is one of the main train terminals, one can get to practically anywhere in tokyo with much ease.
besides the train, my other mode of transport in tokyo was bicycle. this hotel being located in tokyo provided me with much convenience to practically anywhere in tokyo. i cycled to shinjuku, akihabara, asakusa etc. all journeys are within an hour. in addition to its convenient location, the hotel provides complimentary parking service for your bicycles which then allows you to sleep in peace without the worries of your bicycle being stolen.
to top it all up, this hotel is adjacent to a huge daimaru which is a great place for one to stock up all the gifts, fruits etc to be brought back to one's home country.
with all the above said, who will not want to stay in this hotel?

the hotel is in a great location, almost in front of metro tokyo station (yaesu north exit), from where you can sightsee all around tokyo and japan (by bullet train shinkasen).
the hotel lobby is at the 15th floor and all the rooms are on high floors. mine had a great view of tokyo station area, a busy district.
the rooms are clean, and despite the small size they were very well furnished and new. good quality toiletries including bath salts to relax in the bathtub.
wireless worked perfectly in the room.
we didn't try breakfast at the hotel.
Restaurant Tip:
Try the japanese restaurant We Love Maguro (not sure of the name), 3 min walk from the hotel to the left side. It's underground and there is a big tuna statue at the door.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night on our way through Tokyo to Nagoya. The location of the hotel is great, just a short walk from the main Tokyo train station, and surrounded by many restaurants. The room size is very good for the price, especially compared to other hotels in Japan. We had a great room and no complaints about the hotel. They were even nice enough to let us write a note for a relative who stayed at the hotel a couple nights after us.
