The only hotel which I have stayed so far in Japan that have almost or maybe all staffs speaking English. Different from other hotel, room is more than spacious for us to put all our luggage and things. As this is the last hotel which we live in Japan, so you can expect we have alot of buys, so we were very satisfied with how spacious this is.

Good location but the room is too small

The environment surrounding the hotel is considered as a nice place to stay. The hotel is located nearby JR and subway. However, the room is too small.

Great Location
Strategically located and very convenient. There's a Family Mart just across the road and very near to Takashimaya Time Square. Near to Shinjuku Station and many Shopping Malls nearby.

My preferred choice in Tokyo
8.3
Don't go expecting a luxury hotel, but it is a nice, clean, and superbly located hotel. Vending machine on every floor for drinks (hot, cold, alcohol), and self serve ice machine too. Will always try to book Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku when I am in Tokyo

Bring your own pillow!
Clean, close to Shinjuku station, close to shopping & restaurants
7.3
The Japanese seem to like pillows filled with little pellets, sort of like a bean-bag. But if you're used to western style soft fluffy pillows, you'll find them horribly uncomfortable. Upon request, the hotel staff gave us a foam pillow (had to take it to the room ourselves though) but it wasn't much better, being very lumpy and thin. We found it hard to fall asleep, and often woke with neck or back pain. For this reason, I would not recommend Sunroute Plaza unless you have your own pillow.
Like most Tokyo hotels, the rooms were tiny, but at least they were very clean, and quiet. Being close to lots of shopping and restaurants is nice, and it's only a 5 - 10 minute walk to a major train station.
