Base for a week in Tokyo
Clean and new premises and rooms; correct and efficient service; convenient location in central Tokyo (Shinjuku district). You can go out at night in Shinjuku after a hard business/turist day in Tokyo and come back to the hotel walking!
8.7
The Sunroute is a local hotel brand, so you may find different Sunroute hotels all over Tokyo. The Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku has the best and most convenient location for visitors, as it is located close to the JR Shinjuku train station (the biggest train station in Japan) and in the heart of Shinjuku district, which has turist interest itself.
Although rooms are small the hotel service and premises are more than correct, so the quality/price ratio is, in my opinion, very positive.

Hotel situates in the heart of Shinjuku area. Very near Train Station and shopping malls. Nice, cosy & very clean place. Staffs are freindly and very helpful. There is an airport limousine bus service stop right in front of the hotel. there is also a subway station next to the hotel as well. Highly recommend for tourists & businessmen.

Great Location
Very convenience location, nice and clean hotel room.

The hotel is located just 3 mins walk from JR South Exit and 2 mins from Tokyo Metro Subway. The restaurants and convenience store are just around the corner. The room is nice and clean. All staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed for 3 nights, and enjoy very much. Surely we will come back.

Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku
Great location near Shinjuku Station, clean rooms, attentive staff, free internet

Great hotel. The location is good, and the room sizes are about the same as any other hotel in Tokyo in this price range.
For visitors coming from NRT, Shinjuku station is one of the most convenient stops. The hotel is located a few minutes walk from the South exit of the station.
This is my new go-to hotel in Tokyo.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The area around Shinjuku (on the other side of the Station from the hotel) is worth an evening or two of wandering around in.

Relaxed in turbulent times
Very well located to Shinjuku Station, quiet, spotlessly clean, courteous well trained & efficient staff, private, decor - minimalist & functional, rooms comfortable
10
During the `Iceland Volcano` airline crisis of mid April 2010, the hotel excelled in providing courteous and helpful advice and assistance to many stressed & stranded travellers, surely a measure of an excellent hotel. Comfortable & convenient & on Fl.14, nearly zen-like serenity.
Hotel Feature Tip:
A very quiet `superior standard`hotel, 2 mins to great food & Shinjuku Rail Stn, a true slice of the modern Japan catering to Western expectations.

amazing hotel
great servise, english speaking staff, beautiful rooms, beautiful location
9.3
when we arrived at the hotel we were amazed it is a beautiful location and a beautiful building. the staff were all very nice and spoke good english. the room had a great view and very spacious for tokyo with a decent sized bath. very comfortable bed and good atmosphere we enjoyed all our time there. we would both go again in a heartbeat especially considering how cheap it was for a 4 star hotel in the most expensive area of tokyo "shinjuku"
our only problem was the hotels restaurant they have a very nice 4-5 star restaurant near the lobby extremely expensive but the food was good.

location!

Thank you sunroute plaza shinjuku for making our first trip to tokyo as one of the best trip ever! The location sure can't be beaten, it is very near to shinjuku JR (3 mins walking) and the Toei subway (1 min walking).
The hotel staff can't be more helpful when we asked them how to buy ghibli ticket in lawson.
The room is small but we're not complaining cause it's clean, and comfy. There's also free internet, and fridge. You can also grab bathroom amenities like toothbrush, shower cap, etc. near the receptionist area.
We wish soon in the future the limousine bus schedule will become more frequent, but it's still okay because you still can take the one in shinjuku JR west exit (4 mins walking). Or alternatively you can take Narita Express to shinjuku JR.
Overall we'd like to go back here again when in Tokyo :)
Shopping Tip:
Don't miss Tokyu Hands in Times Square (Takashimaya), it's one of the best store on earth and it's very very near :)
