Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Convenience was top, night life was fantastic, great restaurants nearby. Importantly, Shinjuku Station is only a stone throw away.

Just fantastic. Staff were very helpful. The rooms were too small even for a single adult with a 24inch travelling suit case. Can't even open the toilet door without hitting something. Otherwise, great location and fairly priced hotel.

basic hotel, good location
6.3
Pretty basic little hotel. Would say it is a 2-3 star. The staff were friendly, helpful and let us check in early at 12.Althought tiny (standard for Japan/Tokyo)our room was very clean and comfy but despite being non smoking, still smelt a little of smoke. The whole hotel does, especially the lobby/reception area. That said, it's on a quiet street 7 to 10 mins walk max from Shinjuku station, away from the main red light strip, and is a perfectly decent, comfortable city hotel for the price (in an area where hotels are very expensive). A good option if you are keeping the budget down but don't fancy hostels. The only real issue is that our room was very hot, and being winter when we stayed (March) this hotel like many in japan in winter, had the aircon set to heat only. Which would have been fine, if the weather had not be so unusually hot. We couldn't open the windows and were a little cooked and dehydrated by morning!

getting good hotel wasnt my interest,I was sure there would b lots of hotels but Arival time was almost midnight, I had to book a hotel.
in this area, u may find more than 20 hotels around.. some cheap some expensive but Im sure all of them r clean and neat.
next day I found cheap hotel 6000 Yen, very clean, Japanese traditional interior with great twin bed. these cheap hotels r not for staying for long time, check in 20:00 - check out 11:00, or check in 18:00 - check out 09:00...
well,Hotel vintage shinjuku was clean hotel with resonable price, but for sure, I wont stay again.

Clean and Comfortable
Short walk to Shinjuku Station, clean, interesting part of town.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. The rooms are small, but we're in Tokyo, and you're not paying 40000 yen, so what do you expect.
The location is on the edge of the "rough" part of Shinjuku, which is nothing really compared to even not so rough parts of other big cities. Stay to the West along the Seibu Shinjuku line station for a relatively normal walk, or go down the #3 road through the heart of Kabukicho for a view of Shinjuku's red light district; expect to be propositioned.
Over all, it was a great location, and I was satisfied with the clean, comfortable rooms for a pretty good price.

Good location but small rooms
Located near to Seibu-Shinjuku Station and the nightlife district
6
hotel vintage shinjuku's location makes it a great base with which to start your day from. close proximity to the station and nightlife means that you are never far from entertainment and shopping. the only drawbacks are its extremely cramped no frills rooms and its close proximity to the red light district of kabukicho which may not make it a suitable option for people with huge luggage or families with young children.

Good choice for a budget traveler in Shinjuku
8
i feel this is good choice for someone staying in shinjuku on a somewhat budget. yes it is very, very small but were only in the hotel room to sleep and not to spend a lot of time in. i never felt unsafe considering it is supposed to be near the red light district. staff spoke english fine and were nice enough to mail off some postcards for us.

Adequate but bland hotel in fairly good location
5.7
Our stay here was fine but I wouldn't stay here again as it doesn't have much character, traction or overly helpful or friendly staff. Eg we asked about bike hire and the 4 staff behind the counter didn't know and they didn't bother trying to find out. It was convenient and available at the last minute though but we wanted to spend as little time as possible in the hotel. There was no real introduction to the hotel (we had to ask about Internet and still don't know if the cafe next door is part of the hotel).
