Upon our arrival we got a complementary upgrade to a Junior Suite :) The hotel is a huge property and well established. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We felt well taken care of, which spreads a feeling of contentment, convenience and happiness. At least about the hotel we didn’t need to worry in these 4 days.
Don’t expect a hyper modern Boutique Hotel with fancy stuff. The interior in the hotel as well as in the room is as the name says… Imperial! We have been very fortunate and more than happy to stay at the Imperial Hotel.

THE CONSISTENT IMPERIAL HOTEL

It has been nearly nine years since I was last at The Imperial Hotel and so I was looking forward to this trip. Apart from some refresh the hotel is still as good as before. There are other hotels in Tokyo that are more modern but there is an atmosphere at the Imperial that is unique, and very enjoyable. Look forward to another visit hopefully in less than nine years.

The Imperial is steeped in tradition as perhaps the oldest international hotel in Japan. Frank Lloyd Wright's famous and beautiful building was its distinguishing characteristic during the postwar era. It's now a bustling tower and main building, just like most other hotels. But, the location is superb, within minutes of all the convenient subways and JR lines; loads of shopping around the corner; with the fabulous restaurants and watering holes which make Ginza the top neighborhood in Tokyo. The staff is some of the best in Japan and they take great pride in working at the Imperial. When I return to the Imperial, I would opt to stay in the main building next time. The Tower is a trek from the closest hotel coffee shop, therefore I ordered room service for breakfast every morning. It was prompt and excellent. Also, foreigners can join the Imperial Hotel Club at no extra cost. I found the Club lounge to be a good place for meetings, and didn't mind the extra charge for drinks/snack.

I have come to expect a high quality at the Imperial and have never been disappointed. The facility is of high quality, including the fitness center and pool. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is there to make you happy.

The hotel staff were very polite and helpful: our room was even made up at midnight when we were out as we told the front desk that we had left the privacy notice on and so we had run out of tea!

The location of the hotel was great: being right by Hibiya park. There are some really little characterful local bars and eateries very near by in the Ginza district. The Ginza disrict is also the main shopping district for clothes which keeps the ladies happy! The service at the hotel was excellent and the bathroom design was outstanding. A top quality hotel.
