- Big rooms, big beds, lots of space
- Hot tub on the roof
- Free shuttle bus to railway station/airport/shopping center
- Clean and inexpensive
- One hour on a train from Tokyo
- Internet is not free
Great for a short stay and a long stay. Close to Narita city center so if you don't plan to go out of the hotel you might choose Excel or Hilton which I believe much closer to the Airport. I would definitely stay there for a second time. We were hesitating about this hotel as it's pretty far from Tokyo, but it appeared to be very convenient with JR pass - we just had breakfast in the Narita Express train which has reserved seats and tables. In Tokyo we couldn't find anything comparable in room/bed size for less then double of the price we paid. And jacuzzi on the roof was definitely a plus. We enjoyed it with our daughter almost every evening.
Hotel Feature Tip : Electronic key switches of the light, air conditioner and fridge (so don't leave food that needs to stay cool if you leave).
There is a "Do not disturb" button on the bed-side table. I pressed it once and forgot to release in the morning. The above mentioned electronic key does NOT switch of the "do not disturb" sign on the lock so the room will not be cleaned.

simple, clean and very accomodating staff
far from other establishment
International Garden Hotel Narita is a good hotel. Very quaint, simple and clean hotel that if your coming from America you'd be very humbled by how much simplicity can define great accomodation. We have nice dinner and breakfast on the hotel restaurant. Services are great on all areas. There is a covenient store across the street from the hotel so if you want to buy water, snacks or personal supplies, comes very handy. The shuttle bus that picks up from airport were on schedule and driver is quite professional. This is our first time in Japan and definitely gave us a good impression of the country. Very satisfied with this hotel and accomodation.

just wish we could have stayed there for all our trip - just not close enough to centre of Tokyo
A lovely way to end our time in Tokyo - MUCH larger than anything we experienced in city centre, clean, great transport to hotel and into the centre of Narita, where we discovered an amazing cultural area, temples and gardens! If you´re flying out early - definately get an airport hotel and with the price we paid for this - great value! Also had a good gym and a heated jacuzzi on roof - yep we loved it!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take the free bus into Narita and explore! A must!

Nice big rooms with writing desk and LCD TV. Fully equipped bathroom.
The piano bar had a rather poor group playing. A family I thinks, but the young saxophonist needed more practice before playing in public. The restaurant closed at 9pm. They rustled up a short menu of about 5 choices to help, but it wasn't the special dining experience I had planned. No wine list. Just house red or white at 3,200 yen.
I was staying in Chiba for an exhibition at Makuhari Messe about 40 minutes away by bus. Hotels at Makuhari were full so I stayed at this hotel. Rooms in this hotel are much nicer than the Apa hotel at Makuhari, very spacious with a double bed. There is a free shuttle bus to the airport which I took every day, then got the airport limousine bus (1,200 yen) to Makuhari. It was easy and would be my choice for my next visit to an exhibition at Chiba.
Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel is called International Garden Hotel, but at the courtesy bus stop (no 26) at Terminal 2 Narita airport it only says 'Garden Hotel'. Since there is another Garden Hotel at Narita it's a bit confusing, but this is the right stop. Also stops at the Narita Hilton.

Our flight from Sydney got in early and we were able to pay a little extra to check in seven hours early. This is standard procedure. We booked in at 8 am and rested most of the day before our long haul to Zurich. So if you are in the same circumstance book the Garden Hotel.
