Great Location - near Kaminarimon Gate, Nakamize Shopping Street, Asakusa Temple and Asakusa Station (Ginza Line). The staf are very helpful and friendly. Nice personal touches when you come. They have their own personal top ten recommendation lists both for Tokyo and Japan. Would definitely use again. Excellent facilites in common areas-fridge/ toaster/ grill/ crockery/ TV/ computers/ drinks vending machine etc. Beds were comfy. Hand soaps/shower gels/hairdryer etc provided as standard. Modern ensuite toilet and shower.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Street Market, Temple, Tokyo Sky Tree

Cheap (by Tokyo standards anyway), but cheerful
private rooms available, friendly english speaking staff, fast wi-fi, clean, good location

At the end of the day you get what you pay for, but in one of the worlds most expensive cities it's good value for your money as far as a place to stay is concerned. The rooms are small and the bathroom is positively cramped, but the beds are comfortable and everything is nice and clean when you arrive. Internet access is good and there's computers available to use if you don't have your own. The staff are friendly and happy to help, they also speak good English so it's easy to communicate. Location wise it's near some good places to eat, and cool things to see, and the subway is close by.
The walls are a little thin though so it can get a bit noisy. But they do try to keep the noise down when it gets late so it's not too bad.
Restaurant Tip:
Check out Maguro Bito just down the road and order the Horse Mackeral sashimi.

everything you need in tokyo
location, clean, friendly and helpful staff

we stayed in a four room dorm. they make it a little easier to balance sharing the room by giving each bed a separate light to minimize disturbance. no curtains though. the washroom, shower, toilet, etc were very clean and modern. their family room is very cozy and you can meet some great people. it seems like they are always running events in there. location wise it is located with all the other hostels and budget accommodations in asakusa. despite this, it retains a very local feel, and there's some great things to do nearby. easy to get to hotbeds in tokyo by various subway lines.
