Urayasu / Tokyo Disney Resort
Tokyo Disney Resort actually consists of two theme parks: Tokyo Disneyland, a "Magic Kingdom" park, and Tokyo DisneySea, an oceanic-themed park. The resort is also now home to the Ikspiari shopping and entertainment complex and ZED, the first permanent show in Japan from Cirque du Soleil.
Like any other large amusement park, the resort can become quite crowded, and visitors should allow two or three days to comfortably enjoy the resort in its entirety. The resort has a well-developed transit system of buses, as well as a four-station monorail with Mickey Mouse-shaped windows.
Like the other Disney resorts, Tokyo Disney has numerous hotels and hotels in the area offer free transportation service to the resort. While Japanese is the primary spoken language, assistance for English speakers is widely available. Most international visitors land at Narita International Airport where there are buses available to take them directly to the resort. From elsewhere in Japan, the most practical way of getting to Tokyo Disney Resort is by train.
