This hotel is fabulously placed in a nice area of Tokyo. Close to the Ginza shopping area and directly above one of the subway lines. Should you find yourself awake and hungry at some inconvenient hour as a result of jetlag, McDonald's and Lawson's convenient store is located only 1 minute from the hotel and both are opened 24 hours. Overall, hotel is nice, clean and nicely designed. Staff is friendly. Would stay here again in future.

Good location. Close to subway. Located near to Ginza shopping district. Clean. Good sized bathroom and rooms. Friendly and efficient staff.

Room internet usage is extra charge (should be free)!

  • Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go to the fish market some superb fresh sushi breakfast. It's only a few minutes to the Ginza line from the hotel and a few minutes on the tube to Tsujiki. As for breakfast, don't join the crowd and queue. In terms of freshness between most of the shops, I think there's very little difference. I checked out 2 places there on 2 different days, one with a large queue outside and one with a smaller crowd. Quality of the fish seemed to be the same. The one with the large queue simply has the benefit of being mentioned in a travel guide book as well as a price that's more than double the other shops.

Mercure hotel is right in the heart of Ginza. It is 2 blocks away from Matsuya shopping center. Plenty good places to eat and walk around in. You can go to the hotel via subway by taking the Tokyo metro and going out at the Ginza Itchome station it is very near the hotel. Lots of shopping area around, luxury brands like Cartier, Bulgari, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and others. Tsukiji market is just 15 minutes walk. I really enjoyed this hotel.

Beautiful hotel, spacious, great location.

We stayed a night at this hotel. The staff was very accommodating and spoke English well. The room was quiet and the beds comfortable. The location is very good with lots to do nearby. This was a transit hotel for us. I have stayed at other Mercure hotels in Singapore and Japan. I find them to be good value. I do recommend staying here.

Comfortable and convenient

Mercure Ginza is proximately located within 5 mins walking distance to 5 different subway lines in Tokyo, and thus, make travelling around Tokyo more hassel-free. The hotel has many inexpensive eateries (approx USD8 to USD10) within its vicinity. Specifically, MacDonalds is located below the hotel and Starbucks is across the road. The staff are helpful, friendly and speak excellent English. The furnishing of the room is very new and the beds are soft and fluffy (not sunk in). Strongly recommend to anyone travelling to Tokyo.

It would be good if the hotel could have computers with internet access.

Very comfortable. Well located. Near Yurakucho st. Guest Rating: 3.7

I would stay there again. The hotel is located in the middle of Ginza area (fashion and expensive neighbourhood of Tokyo). Just half block away from METRO and only 4 blocks away from JR Train Station. Good price. Good Quality.

Nice room for the price and the place. Silent, only a few blocks away of YURAKUCHO St. And at a walking distance from Tokyo Terminal

If you need a place to held a meeting (like a good lobby). This hotel may not be the best.

The Mercure hotel ginza is an excellent choice for the solo traveller given it's location in the heart of Tokyo's Ginza district. There you will find easy access to a bustling nightlife coupled with a very impressive array of quality restaurants. During the day there are numerous boutique shops and department stores all within five minutes walk. Tokyo central train satation is ten minutes walk away and gives you access to the rest of Japan with ease especially the Shinkansen which is a must do for any first timer in Japan. I found the Mercure to be excellent value for money and coupled with the friendly English speaking staff turned out to be the best choice I could have made for my lodgings in Tokyo.

Clean modern facilities, Very friendly English speaking staff. Prompt and efficient service/help. Proximity to great locations and restaurants.

There was nothing I disliked

  • Travel tip : There is a traditional Japanese bath house two minutes walk from the Mercure Ginza. I highly recommend a visit.

If you want to go out to clubs, stay out where there are a lot of people walking out at night, go see a lot of people who want to party.. unfortunately mercure isn't the right hotel. The location of the hotel was nice but we had to take the subway for at least 25 mins to get to where we wanted to go. Ginza is a very low key and elegant district. we really enjoyed the friendliness of the staffs and their helpfulness to give us easy directions. I enjoyed my stay at the Mercure very much. Even though i have mentioned the bad location, i would stay again at mercure.

the staffs were extremely friendly. One of the best features of the hotel was that the hotel was located right above the subway. This made everything even more convenient. The cost of dialing out of the country was very affordable and we couldn't have asked for more.

The cost of internet is 5 usd for every 24 hours. The rooms were extremely small, I mean, I saw pictures before booking, but we're talking about a room where you wouldn't think of doing anything other than sleeping. Ginza district was like Beverly hills of California. We were surrounded by very familiar stores such as the apple store, bulgari, and louis vuitton. The district was a bit different than what i had expected..

  • Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you are struggling with jetlag on your first few days in ginza, you should go to the fish market. It was a nice 15 min walk and we saw every different kinds of fish you can imagine. It was definitely a sight to see.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Tokyo. It's right in the heart of Tokyo's upscale shopping district and has a subway stop right under the hotel (a JR line is only a five minute walk away!). The rooms were spacious (for Tokyo) and clean and the staff was helpful and fluent in english.

- Beautiful layout - Women's floor - Everyone spoke amazing english

The hotel is very well located, and very confortable. I had a very pleasent stay in the hotel. The staff give me good advices about how to circulate in Tokyo or where going out for dinner. I noticed that for new hosts it was not easy, in a first time to understad that they had to insert their room card to use the lift. The phone and the public access to internet are too tiny, there is not enough room if you are looking for some privacy.

The staff has been very efficient, kind and friendly.

The restaurant is closing too early.
