The position was fantastic, within walking distance to the amazing temple, accross the road from the train station which you can go direct to tokyo

The rooms were quite small

When I arrived, the staff greeted me with a friendly smile, they spoke great english and were very helpful. The rooms were very clean with ample shampoos, cond, etc, the internet service was very fast and very cheap. All attractions within walking distance, resturant was inexpensive and had heaps of variety, supermarkets were near by if you needed anything. Very recomendable from an Aussie point of view.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you want to go into tokyo, catch the JR line as it is a direct and faster train. Trip will take approx 1hour

Close to the Airport, Clean Room, Fast Internet, Friendly staff, free shuttle to Narita Airport

Internet is not free

A quick stop to Tokyo or a business trip then Mercure hotel is a good place to your other destination. I took this hotel cause of leaving Narita early morning and it takes 90 min from the city to the airport. But staying in Narita you have more sleep time and it takes 10 min to the airport.

Proximity to Narita JR station and Keisei Narita Station (which is even closer!) Electric iron and board in room. BBC News instead of CNN. Within walking distance to local sights and last minute gift shops.

Shuttle timing may not suit you but with two railway stations so close this is only a minor point.

Out of eight hotels we stayed in on our three week visit to Japan this one was second closest to the railway station, which was one of the reasons we chose it. It was closer than we expected and you can actually see the hotel as the the train pulls into JR Narita station, so no need to ask for directions when you get off. The complementary bus drops takes less than 30 minutes to get to Narita airport, although the service is limited, in which case the train will get you there for a reasonable price (250 Yen I think). Definitely worth staying in if you only need one night in the area.

Hotel Feature Tip : Only a short walk from Narita JR station but if you follow the pedestrian sign to Keisei Narita Station it's even shorter.
