I did only stay for one day before continuing on my trip to Niigata so I cannot write an extensive review unfortunately. My visit was very comfortable. Check-in was very eficient and all counter staff plus bell captain were very friendly and helpful and had excellent english. The room itself was standard or larger them most other hotels I stayed at while touring Japan. Well cleaned, with many complementary anmenities in bathroom including toothbrush/toothpaste and razor. Shower was standard with hand-held head. The bed was comfortable and the room did have 2 pillows, which I found to be unusual in the other hotels during my visit. The restaurants did have quick service and good food, reasonably priced. According to the hotel literature there is a garden and a chapel on the hotel grounds, but unfortunately I did not have time to visit personally, but certainly looked interesting on the phaphlet. All signs/notices in room were in english as well as Japanese, and easily understandable/well translated I thought. Hotel guests seemed to be generally older couples, so my stay was a very quiet one. I would certainly stay at this hotel again, and can easily recommend it for anyone looking for a place to stay for a night or two while at the airport or while in Narita. Expecially a good hotel to stay at if you have limited Japanese skills or do not wish to deal with the hassle of finding and taking a taxi/bus to and from the town or airport while visiting.

Friendly and helpful staff, most with excellent english skills. Fast and frequent bus service to and from the Airport as well as into Narita. Quiet location. clean room. Good restaurants, some shops and a convience store all located in hotel. Excellent prices for room and resteraunts.

a little far from any sights/attractions, nothing within walking distance that I was aware of. Some minor construction while I was at hotel, so the convience store and one restaurant at the time of my stay had limited space, but this is only temporary and not really of any major inconvience.

  • Hotel Feature Tip : Bus schedule for service runs to/from Airport to hotel and to/from town are not listed on Agoda but can be found on the hotels own webpage. Pick-up stop for hotel guests at Terminal One (international) is at Terminal #16, the location is well marked on Airport signs at front doors leaving the airport facility. Once you arrive at the hotel you can pick up a copy of the schedule of bus runs and times at the front desk.

The Narita View is located close the the Narita Airport, and there is a free bus to the Airport every 15 minutes. Together with the friendly staff, these are, unfortunately, the only positive things I can say. The room has obviously not been updated since the 1970s. This is not a big problem, but it's not correct to give the hotel a three star rating.

Friendly staff.

The style and comfort are not contemporary.

Imagine arriving at Narita airport after the long tiring flight from London, then think what a pleasure it was to take the free bus (very regular and punctual) for a short journey to the Narita View Hotel where one enters an oasis of calm, assisted to an excellent room by a friendly and helpful staff. As I prepared to catch up on lost sleep I was offered a late checkout to suit my onward journey to New Zealand. I did not even have to ask. The next morning sees me enjoying the excellent breakfast buffet in the Patio Restaurant. I don't want to leave and will certainly come back, but the next time with my wife.

Cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff, excellent soundproofed rooms good for a layover stop-off and great food.

Sauna does not open during the day. No pool.

  • Restaurant Tip : Make sure you try all the Japanese dishes at the Patio Restaurant. It's very good quality and fantastic value.

Friendly staff greet you on arrival, with help taking your bags inside. There was no queue for check-in and a friendly receptionist dealt with me quickly. A porter brought the bags to the room carefully and brought them inside. The room was clean and well-appointed. A moderate sized room for Japan, but bigger than quite a few I've had.

Efficient check-in and out service. Free shuttle to Narita airport four times an hour during the main part of the day. clean and pleasant rooms.

None

  • Hotel Feature Tip : Hot and cold drink vending machines available near the elevators on each floor (but not particularly advertised).

This was a terrific stopover hotel - very convenient both to the airport and Narita village, with free shuttle service to/from both the village and the airport. Price was excellent and the rooms very clean and comfortable. One welcome surprise were the excellent and reasonably priced meals at the main restaurant - particularly the dinner buffet. We'd recomment this hotel for anyone.

Location, price, shuttle service, room comfort, restaurant

There are no swimming pools, despite what it says on the website

  • Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The shrine in Narita village is well worth a visit, lovely wooded glen to stroll through on a very hot day

From arrival at Narita Airport to relaxing in our comfortable room took only 35 minutes! The courtesy bus was on time to the minute and check-in proceedure was super efficient. The registrar even took the effort to check our flight details for the next day in order to suggest timings for the appropriate return courtesy bus to the airport. This hotel is exactly what you want at the end of an 11 hour flight. Many thanks!

Speedy courtesy bus from the airport, sophisticated reception with excellent no fuss check-in, comfortable and quiet room.

No weaknesses!

We flew in planning to stay at Narita View Hotel and commute to the Akihabara area to do our tourist type shopping. I went with my husband, and another room for our grown son. The hotel is very nice, very clean, good water pressure in the shower. Beds rather firm but quite comfortable, with those rice-bran pillows. TV all in Japanese so we could try to guess what was going on! e didn't bring power adapters for the Japanese plugs or ethernet cables for laptops, thinking wifi, but they cheerfully furnished loaners for us. They were also able to change our dollars into yen at an honest rate. (However, they couldn't change them back when it was time to leave.) It turned out we seriously underestimated how long it would be to get to the Akihabara district, by shuttle bus/train/another train, but we managed to get there and back. I can absolutely recommend the Narita View Hotel to anybody who wants to remain in Narita, but to those who want to go to the Big City, keep the travel time in mind.

Convenient to airport, great shuttle bus service. Nice clean rooms with wired high-speed Internet. Good vending machine access and convenience store in the hotel.

For us, more information in the room in English would have been good, but after all it is a Japanese hotel. Way too far from where we wanted to go, Akihabara. But that was a con only for us, not a general problem. Restaurants open only at specified mealtimes, room service expensive and limited selection.

  • Shopping Tip : Shuttle bus goes to a mall which we did not have time to check out, but looked interesting.

We were tired when we got to the Narita airport and eveything was very different than the U.S. It was made so much easier by getting on a bus that took us to your hotel and delivered our baggage with us. To be even more surprising, no one expected us to tip them. Our room was nice and clean, and quiet. We could eat at the hotel dining rooms, or have something delivered to the room. The next day, we could take the bus to places around the city, explore, and then get back on when we were tired and ready to go to our hotel. All in all, it was a great experience.

Had a beautiful view outside the window, had a bus that brought us from the airport and took us back, had a wonderful breakfast each morning, and was very relaxing.

None that I remember.

  • Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We were told about your nice mall. It was very large and we enjoyed looking at everything.
