1. near Tsujiki Fish MArket 2. walking distance to Tokyo Tower 3. helpfulness of staff 4. usefulness of map provided by the hotel
1. not a new hotel ( do not expect the newest of things)
It was near Tsujiki Fish MArket. But please note the rest days if you want to visit the fish market. You can ask the staff. Most of whom can speak English well enough. It was totally a plus point for the start of our trip. Ms Sudoh was esp helpful when she went out of her way to search the internet for the hot spring baths for us as most were in Japanese. Thank You. It was a walking distance to Tokyo Tower. Really nice when lighted in the night. The usefulness of map provided by the hotel helped us to lots of places. However, it is not a new hotel ( do not expect the newest of things). But we will stay there again given the good location...

The hotel is close (5 minute walk) to the subway station.
Easy access from Haneda airport.
Hotel is in quite neighborhood.
Room is too small and has uncomfortable bed.
Internet is avaliable at the annex building (only 3 ports), so not good for business people.
No refrigerator.
This hotel needs renovation.

Convenient and quiet location
This hotel has a convenient location close to the metro station (ca. 3. min by foot). It's situated in a quiet neighbourhood. The rooms are nice for the price, it's definitely a hotel to consider in Tokyo. There are quite a few restaurants in this hotel.

Excellent staff - my room was non-smoking, but not on a non-smoking floor. During the night I had the smell of smoke in my room, presumably through the AC system. When I mentioned it to the desk in the morning, they moved me to a non-smoking floor.
A good location, close to the Diamon subway, Shiba park and restaurants on the main streets near Diamon.
Carpet was old and stained, rooms need repainting, the bathroom needs completely renovated - a short deep tiled tub is really just a deep shower stall.
This was my first visit to the hotel and it was disappointing. The rooms are old and tired and badly in need of renovation. No AC/heating controls in the room, and the windows did not open. The mattress was a bit soft. It was quiet, however. The staff were very helpful and several of them spoke English. The breakfast in the cafe was buffet style and expensive as were the evening meals. There are restaurants in the area.
Restaurant Tip : A good Tully's coffee shop 5 minutes walk away and a sushi bar close by!

Had to pay for internet, rooms needed updating
Hotel was in a great location, near subway and JR station in a quiet part of town. Lots of restaurants nearby and very centrally located. Staff was very polite & professional. 2 cons were the rooms needed to be updated and had to pay for internet...other than that it was great. Recommend!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Tokyo Tower, Zozoji Temple

Staff, Cleanliness, location.
The Shiba Park Hotel has been in existence since the 1950s and has been renovated a number of times since then. They live up to their name, good reputation, and tradition. What makes them outstanding is their staff. Their concierge has helped a lot to reach the different places in Tokyo of great interest at the least cost to us. Above all, they are honest.
Travel tip : The Shiba Park Hotel is in a business district. The place is clean, peaceful and secure.

....there are only "pros".Friendly staff, everything so clean, reception desk very helpful and on and on....
From the day we arrived, during our stay and until we regretfully had to leave back to Sydney both of us felt that we were V.I.P.There was noting too difficult for "Shiba Park Hotel" to provide us with, to point out an interesting sight seeing, organize Airport transport and exchange the foreign currencies.Thank You so much, we will recommend Your Hotel to our friends anytime.

The hotel is in a very convenient location within walking distance to subway, restaraunts and shopping. The personnel at the hotel are very hospitable and helpful. Room very clean and well maintained.
I was not made aware that room rate I selected did not have internet access. When I arrived I had to upgrade my room in order to have internet access in my room.
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The onsite restarant and bar/lounge was very nice. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to subway, parks, shops and restaurants. The bus transportion from and to the airport was convenient and reasonable. I will definately return to the Shiba Park hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Tokyo tower is close by along with a temple. Subways give easy access to locations throughout the city.

Relatively large, very quiet.
Far from public transport.
Arriving from Narita, you will need to take the NEX and switch to a JR subway at Tokyo Station and then walk quite a distance (12 minutes) to reach the hotel (Of course you can take a taxi). There are other subway stations around, but they are minor lines, so you will be using the JR line quite often. Otherwise, there are convenience shops and small restaurants nearby enough. Rooms are clean and quiet which is typical Japanese. There is internet and English channels on the TV. There are several restaurants in the hotel, but we never tried any of them Would probably try a different hotel next time, since there are so many.

I especially liked the deep tub.
This hotel is very clean, well appointed and has an excellant courteous, helpful and respectful staff. The hotel is well locaated for shopping and casual walking, being near several parks including the Imperial Gardens.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Located near several large parks. I am a walker, and this suited me perfectly.

outstanding location, good value for money, smoking rooms available on request.
furniture has lived its best days.
Shiba Park Hotel is on a quiet street within a few minutes´ walk of a large Buddhist temple and Tokyo Tower. The Roppongi area is also accessible by foot. One of the best features of the hotel is its proximity to subway stations of various lines. Although the hotel features restaurants with various cuisines, dining is not inexpensive. Other dining options are available in very close proximity. If you plan to take an organized tour, tour companies do pick up at this hotel. In any case, you may rely on the courtesy of staff - they are helpful and fluent in English.
Hotel Feature Tip : Tokyo has abundant rain. In case you are caught without an umbrella, the Shiba Park will be happy to lend you one. Buses from Narita Airport both drop off and pick up at the hotel (the cost of a one-way ticket is 3,000 JPY and the approximate time is 2 hours).

It's very convenient to get to this hotel from Arita Airport, that's why I chose it. You can go to there by limousine directly, it costed 3000 Yen and less than half past 1 hour, I supposed.
It's a really nice, clean, charming hotel, and is conveniently located. There are several subway stations nearby, not far from Shibuya, Shinjuku and Aoyama. You can go to the famous Tokyo Tower on foot, in 5 minutes.
I had really wonderful days in the hotel, except that the room charges are a little more expensive than the other hotels on the same level.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : there is a little charming temple nearby, in 5 mins walk.

Accommodating Staff. Near subway lines. Quite part of town, near Tokyo Tower which feels geared more to business travels. Nice to be able to open windows. Comfortable and ordered first impression of the city.
Small room but what else is new. Clean although occasionally musty being somewhat close to the river. Subway lines close at a certain hour, so plan ahead.
I arrived one day early and the front desk could not have been nicer about accommodating me. Feel like I lucked out selecting this pleasant hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip : Supermarket within walking distance was great for fruit and water. Wide range of restaurants and not overrun with tourists.
