Good Location Guest Rating: 3.5

location, location, location! Stay at this hotel if you want the location. The hotel offers standard appliances, and for the most part, they are working (my toilet had some problem but was fixed within the hour!). Don't count on having good free TV entertainment though, as there were only 2 English channels: CNN and BBC! :-)

Shiba Park Hotel a winner! Guest Rating: 4.7

We loved the 7-Eleven around the corner. Great place to grab some Japanese snacks (e.g.sushi) and they are surprisingly fresh.

• Restaurant Tip : One night we ate at the "Yaki Tori House" (just around the corner from the hotel) and were ripped off. They charge more if you order from the English menu.

I stayed in the Annex building, which is just opposite the street of the Main building. As i never ate at the Hotel, i cannot comment on the food there.

Ginza, Asakusa, Roppongi are all nearby in view of the good location near subway stations and Railwaystion Hammamutsu. Shiba Park Hotel is not a very luxurious Hotel but provides all necessary service to make your stay pleasant. A cozy restaurant corner in the hotel is...as far as I experienced...not available. But then: there are lots of other possibilities outdoors.

Situated in a nice area, close to subway, JR Trains, water taxi, and the monorail.

Overall, the room was okay. In my opinion, it wasn't a $125/night hotel room, but it did serve its purpose. It was really roomy, and even though the carpet was old and stained, I felt that they kept the room clean. I would be willing to pay $100/night if I stayed in this hotel again, otherwise I would look elsewhere. Also, location was okay. It was about a 10 minute walk to the Shimbashi station.

• Travel tip : An am/pm is just down the road from the hotel for any simple needs. McDonald's and Wendy's was a 5 minute walk away for those needing Western style cuisine. 10 minute walk to Shimbashi station.

Unfortunately I was sick when we stayed there but the staff were most helpful and sympathetic.

• Travel tip : Access to the railway is a very pleasant 3 minute walk away.

We were recommended the hotels by some colleges and we can recommend it to others who are looking for a priceworth hotel in a nice area. Very silent rooms.

• Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go with the new monorail to visit the Toyota show. A fantastic place free of charge
