Nice location (near park and the Hyatt), free shuttle bus to and from Shinjuku station, good sized rooms.
hot and stuffy, a bit outdated, small bathrooms.
This was a pleasant hotel in a nice, leafy quietier part of town, about 15 mins walk from Shinjuku station (although there is a free shuttle bus that runs in the mornings and afternoons) and close to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office and Park Hyatt (where Lost in Translation was filmed). The hotel was a bit outdated and the 'air con' was really just hot air, so it got a bit stuffy at times. But the staff were nice, happy to hold luggage etc. Still worth the price we got it for
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The nearby Park Hyatt bar is free from 5pm-8pm. Go up there for some glamour and great views early in the evening
| So nice, you'll go there twice |

In a nice quiet area by Shinjuku Chuo park, a few minutes from A couple of stations Both the JR Line and Metro. There is a little shop inside the hotel for stationary, fans (essential during summer months), soft drinks and noodle pots. The vending machines are always well stocked with a variety of soft drinks and ice cream. They also have a notice board for weather warnings for those who are worried about such things.
For those who wish to stay close to young vibrant areas, this may not be the best place for you to stay. If you don't have your own laptop or netbook, you may find the pay as you go internet a bit pricey at 100yen for a few minutes compared to rates in internet cafes which are 390 to 420yen for an hour (which usually has unlimted free drink too).
This was actually the second time I had stayed with this hotel. I have always found the staff kind and understanding. They were always willing to greet me in english or in japanese (which became the case after I always tried to converse in Nihongo). I found the TV reception was of excellent quality with a diverse channel selection including Korean, Chinese and english speaking channels.
Hotel Feature Tip : The Hotel operates a bus service to a number of sites in the Shinjuku area. I never used it myself as I enjoy walking. However, the two times I stayed with them they made it clear that this was available which most hotels would not do leaving the traveller to either walk or attempt to use expensive cab services that often sat in traffic and had to be pointed out where you wanted to go.
