Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

rather centralised as shinjuku is in the heart of tokyo. easily accessible to everywher else. however the jr station is quite a distance away( especially if u are dragging big luggages).staff is not too friendly and as the typical japanese - everything by the book!!

Earthquake on March 11 during hotel stay-alive!
Great location in Shinjuku
8
First of all let me say the Tokyo March 2011 earthquake occured during our stay at this hotel. My heartfelt wishes and prayers go out to all that were affected during the disaster. Be well and recover quickly - to all my Japanese friends. You will rise once again.
The hotel staff handled the emergency admirably. The transportation to/from the airports were affected most but the staff kept all the guests informed esp. on modes of transportation available. The limousine bus from Haneda/Narita were used and is very very convenient. Don't bother taking the train. The bus takes a bit longer but is comfortable and is door-to-door.
Once you get you bearings, the hotel is only an 8 minute walk via underground subway station or by street level to Shinjuku station. Great location. Not as close as the Shinjuku Prince Hotel to the 'action' but for the price, it beats the Prince and thus necessitates the longer walk. But it's by no means 'too far.' I would stay here again.
Yes, rooms are very small but that's normal for Japanese-style business hotels. What's great is that they are always clean.
Family Mart convenience store was very convenient in the hotel lobby. Unfortunately after the earthquake all the stocks were wiped out. We felt earthquake aftershocks all throughout the remainder of the days but the hotel stood firm despite the building swaying all night. Good hotel & price.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Take the Narita/Haneda airport limousine bus (orange and white painting) from/to the airports to/from the hotel. It's door-to-door and no hassle. Convenient, clean, and comfortable transportation. No need to carry heavy bags through the station. Stress free transport. English speaking.

The hotel was value-for-money for its location. Although the hotel has an underground passage to the Shinjuku station but expect the walk to be around 10 minutes. The room was small but acceptable.

Cheap, great location, small rooms
Limousine Bus to airport, Cheap, great location
6.3
The hotel is placed very central and it is cheap. The best thing is the limousine bus wich makes it easy to reach. I have stayed in Tokyo many times, and prefor this one for short stays because it is so easy to acces from the airport. Staff is friendly and service good. Rooms though are small, but the worst is the air. It is very hot even in winter and you feel like you are in a submachine. Ask staff for help to open windows wich is a possibility. But - good value for money.

Nice hotell
Close to metro, great views
8.3
We visited Shinjuku for 4 nights. Hotel location near to metro was nice. The room was small, but everything worked fine. Shinjuku metro station is too big, but we found even the Narita Express in time (after checking the route last evening).
Hotel Feature Tip:
Maybe the hotel "limosine" bus would be the easiest transportation from Narita and back to airport.

Value for money and great location.

Was upgraded on our 6 night stay , so we were happy. Had a massage chair in the room too! Overall, comfortable, clean and value for money. There were quite a number of afforable restaurants in the hotel too.
Restaurant Tip:
Not really a restaurant but around 8 pm or so, the streetside stores open up around Shinjuku station. They are so much part of the authentic ramen experience so don't be afraid to sit down beside the roads with buses and cars and have a bowl of ramen.
