Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.
We want you to pay the lowest possible rate for your room. If you have reserved a hotel room through Agoda, and then show us that you could book the same room, for the same dates, at a lower rate, that is viewable and bookable on another website, within 48 hours of booking your room with us, we will either match that rate or beat it. The staff was pleasant. The hotel offered good value for the money. The surrounding area was attractive and close to the main parts of Asakusa.
Many people on the staff do not understand English adequately to assist you or answer questions correctly. My son called , gave my name, and asked to speak to me. He was told that there was no Patricia Bentley registered at that hotel. There is a public bus outside. No one made me aware of its existence. There is information about the bus posted on the wall but it is all in Japanese
The Skycourt Hotel in Asakusa, Japan offers good travel value for the money. The staff is pleasant. The hotel itself is in an attractive neighborhood near the main sights in Asakusa. It is clean and cheery.I certainly woulld go there again. However, the staff is not always knowledgeable about the area or cannot speak or understand Engish enough to be of very much help.My son called to talk to me and he was told that I was not staying there.I asked about transportation but was not told about the public bus that ran right outside the hotel. There was information posted right on the wall about the bus , but it was in Japanese. several other questions that I had could not be answered in a satisfactory manner. There were two new activities that I liked very much- a ride on the Sumida River boat and going to the top of the Asahi "beer glass" building. From the top , you can look over a lot of Tokyo. It is free although you will be expected to purchase a snack.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Going to the top of the Asahi "beer glass" and looking out over the city was incredible. It is free. They will expect you to purchase a snack or drink. That is all.

Basic necessities covered. Bed, Desk with tv, and private Bathroom. Good value for cost.
As far as location for the hotel, its a bit out far in terms of relative closesness to the station, but it does make it easier for reasons to explore. If you dont care about luxury and you just want a decent place to stay with all the vital essentials, this is the place. Asakusa is a little less frenetic compared to other places in tokyo, but that doesnt mean that this little city doesnt come to life. there are plenty of things to see around the hotel, including a beautiful shrine and marketplace, and as soon as you figure out where it is, its location kinda grows on you. I would definetly stay here again seeing as how the staff didnt speak much english but there were a few employees who spoke a lot. service was excellent and the best value for how much a night to stay there is.

New carpeting, paint and bedding since my last visit - room small but comfortable.
Speedy free internet
Very friendly staff
Smoky smell in lobby, hallways, and sometimes the room.
This is my second time staying in this hotel and I have plans to stay again. The hotel is close to the train station, the neighborhood is nice, and there are many things to do in Asakusa. Most of the staff speak some English, and some are very fluent. All are helpful and friendly. I have not tried the restaurant, but there are many inexpensive places to eat within walking distance.
