Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Centrally located, 5 minute walk to Tokyo Tower, Roppongi, Azabu Juban, Oedo subway line, Sensoji Temple (I think that is the name), and a park. A 10 minute subway ride to Ginza (famous shopping area), Shimbashi (financial district with many little restaurants and a major train station), the fish market (largest in the world), and many other areas/attractions. The rooms are actually apartments with Washer/dryer, kitchen...etc.
Nothing material...as this is a serviced residence and not a hotel, there are no restaurants or bar on site.
I lived at the Somerset Azabu-East for 7 months (5 years ago) and stayed for 5 nights recently. I would recomend the location to any/all travelers. The rooms are large (475-525 square feet) and include a washer/dryer, kitchen, and office area. The pool and fitness center come without additional charge and breakfast is also included (cereal, toast, cheese, yogurt, juice, milk, coffe, and tea). The property is centrally located and convenient to most areas/attractions.
Hotel Feature Tip : There is a rooftop BBQ terrace available for use. The view is incredible. It is nice to have a glass of wine up there in the evening and enjoy the view, or you can reserve the terrace for a nominal fee (4,500 yen), which includes charcoal, utensils and exclusive use of the facilities for a specified period of time.

We are a family of 4, travelling with 2 small children. I was looking for spacious accommodation in Tokyo and came across Somerset Azabu East. It seemed nice from the pictures but I couldn´t find many travellers reviews for it. I am surprised because I think the hotel is brilliant. I think that there are no many reviews because, by the look of it, this hotel is quite new. Our apartment was spacious and had all modern commodities, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave... all in perfect condition. Because we travelled with children we appreciated the extra space in the living room-bedroom (and the cartoon channel!). The hotel is very conveniently located to visit the major tourist attractions in Tokyo, right by Tokyo Tower. Although it is near the Roppongi, it is located in a quiet area near Shiba Park. It is a quiet hotel, so most probably you will have the small fitness room, the swimming pool and the barbecue terrace all for yourself. The terrace has great views over Tokyo and you can use it anytime of day or night.
The personnel at the reception desk spoke very good English and were extraordinarily nice and helpful. Although it said in the website that the cleaning service is available only twice a week, the fact is that everyday the cleaning personnel would tidy up our room and make our beds.
The hotel doesn´t have a restaurant or bar, but there are restaurants and coffee shops very nearby and a supermarket just next door. The nearest tube is 3 min walk, in the Oedo line, and there are 2 more tube stations not far away.
Overall, excellent accommodation, we will no doubt return if we go back to Tokyo.
Hotel Feature Tip : Ask in reception for food delivery options and organise a dinner on the barbecue terrace. If you prefer it, you can buy your food in the Tokyo Tower food gallery or in the supermarket next door.
