Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.
We want you to pay the lowest possible rate for your room. Clean and tidy room, helpful staffs, free wifi in the lobby area
10-15 minutes walk to shinjuku station, 2am curfew
This is a comfortable hotel in Shinjuku, it is reasonable priced, at a good location, clean and tidy with very helpful staffs. Rooms are generally small for Japanese standard so bigger people may find the bathroom a little bit crowded.

Proximity to town (Shinjuku) ... flawless internet connection ... friendly helpful staff
A bit shabby around the edges (but very clean) ... pillows are the hard bead type ... bathroom small but space-retro in styling ... 2:30am curfew ...
A brisk walk into town and you are on the doorstep of shopping, eating and drinking ... there are some wonderful streets to explore between the hotel and the centre of Shinjuku which can be a bit hectic ... room was small but decent in comparison to some places we have stayed in Tokyo ... staff were friendly and tried to help wherever they could ... we didn't eat at the restaurant because there was too much on offer out and about ... internet connection worked flawlessly
The hotel is a little older so there are a few scuff marks here and there ... the elevator has "Computer Controlled" labeled on the floor indicator in a funky 2001 Space Odyssey tyepface ... pillows are a bit hard, as in most mid-price accommodation a travel pillow is recommended.
Travel tip : Walk back into town ... go past the locxal subway entrance ... and turn right at the next intersection ... a short walk along here you will come to another intersection and if you look to your left you should see the yellow signage of the "Nikon" shop ... directly opposite this stor is "Fusion Records" ... there are 5 or 6 stores within a block of one another ... some with up to 7 levels covering rock, blues, jazz, classical and every possible genre in between!!! Awesome for those of us who still value vinyl and CDs.

The room could use a little more tidiness.
The hotel overall was pretty easy to find but you have to exit #1 of the shinjuku- sanchome. The hotel is nice and has all of the accommodation. I was happy that the hotel was relatively near(it is like a 15 min walk to shinjuku downtown). Also please carry cash because none of the atms(except for 7-11) accept debit cards or credit cards. None of the stores accept cards as a method of payment!

Cheap and cheerful - and free internet
The room was a smoking room, thus rather smelly (I wasn't given the choice); it was a tiny room with a tiny, tiny bathroom, and it looked as if it might have been cutting edge in the 1970s, all brown and beige. The bed wasn't huge, but adequate.
That said, it was cheap and cheerful - close(ish) to the train stations, and a good base for a day or two. The free internet - via an ethernet cable - was fast and reliable, and no silly passwords; even though the english leaflet talked about dialup internet (and needing an initial '9'...)
Hotel Feature Tip : The quickest and most weatherproof way to the hotel is to go underground via the shopping centre to the Shinjuku Sanchome station, and from there, wander north up the long, long, corridor.

- The hotel was a much better value then others I considered
- About a 10 min walk to Shinjuku station, so it was quick and easy to get around the city
- Staff was courteous and professional
- Rooms were clean and tidy
- Rooms are definitely on the small side
If all you're looking for is a place to sleep that's close to everything, this is a good deal. Having traveled in Japan before, I knew to expect a very small room, and they did not dissappoint. Single rooms would probably be too small for two people, unless you're very friendly.

Close to all amenities, such as train station (10 mins walk to JR line), shopping and lots of restaurants
Very small room, but it is manage for 2 people if you choose semi double room. Staff speaks very limited english.
Overalll, i would recommend this hotel, very clean room. On a quiet street, so you do not hear the noise, but right next to the action. Easy to get around. Very friendly hotel staff, though speak limited english.
Shopping Tip : Close to major shopping department store such as Isetan, OIOI, Lumines.

good location, clean room, nice front desk staff
We liked this hotel, as only a short 5 min walk to the center of Shinjuku , where all the action is. The room is very small, even by Tokyo standards. I laughed when I read someone else's review about the sink tap, but its all true! Bathroom sooo small you can fill the bathtub up with the exact same faucet as the sink!! Lots of reasonable places to eat, and fun area to stay. would stay there again.

Excellent location, good price, free internet
Hard to find, very small rooms
This hotel is in a good location once you find it, which is a bit difficult the first time. The rooms are small, but this is normal for Tokyo, however they are clean and the hotel is overall very nice with friendly staff. Free internet for guest is also a great addition.

Location, value for money, clean.
This hotel is definitely great value for Japan and it is located right in the heart of Shinjuku making it easy to get around by metro & JR trains.
Rooms were small but you'd expect that in Japan, but it was very clean. Staff were attentive but not intrusive.
Overall I'd recommend this hotel to anyone in Japan on a budget looking for cheap, value for money hotel accommodation.

Just off Meiji Dori and very close to Metro lines. Close to Shopping Mall, Isetan, and other shopping such as dvd,cd and book shops (new and second hand).
The single rooms can be a little small.
I found the staff to be very helpful even when the language barrier was a problem. This being said when they got an english speaking member of staff they did more than would be required of pointing me to a map or guide book.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hanazono Jinja (a shrine) is very close to the hotel. You can go there to pray for merchandise (unsure if it was the sale of merchandise or long lasting purchase). It is especially active during Matsuri (Festivals) with traditional food for sale, live entertainment and traditional games the like of which you would see at carnivals.

reasonably easy to walk to from main Shinjuku Station. Great location if you're into shopping for expensive brand names.
Tokyo is expensive for what you get.
The hotel was in a good location for what we needed. All areas were clean and tidy, staff were friendly and helpful and spoke reasonable English. At the end of the day, Tokyo is expensive, we found this hotel was in our price range and offered what we were after.

Free Internet, and close to Shinjuku Station (10min walk).
Very very very small rooms. No where to put your luggage down.
We were happy with the location, a little shocked by the size of the room, glad that it had free internet access, but very annoyed that there was loud road work construction right below us that started at 10pm at night and went to 4 in the morning. Jack hammers and everything... Slept about 3 hours max. Though not the hotels fault, it was a huge reason why we wouldn't go back.

We found the nightlife and restaurants that were just blocks from the hotel were the best in Tokyo. The nearest subway station was 5 minutes walk, and that station was one stop from the enormous Shinjuku station. The hotel was also walking distance to parks and a shrine. We stayed at Sunlite for our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed it. The rates were very reasonable too.
Restaurant Tip : Okonomiyaki-ha-ha was a nearby restaurant/bar that served fabulous okonomiyaki (firend pancakes).
