The English-speaking ability of the staff was excellent. Appreciated the great daily room service. Small rooms, but likely a function of hotel rooms in Tokyo (give it's population density!) Upon check-in, I was upgraded to a Deluxe Room, which made my stay all the more enjoyable. The staff was extremely friendly and understood English. Their Lobby Lounge had a reasonably-priced lunch that I took advantage of before leaving for the airport. As the hotel is served by Narita's Airport Limousine Bus, I would highly recommend this for budget-minded international travelers.
Shopping Tip : Ikebukuro definitely caters to the under-25 crowd! I also found fabulous suits (with cheap alterations) at a place called PSFA (Perfect Suit FActory). Definitely stop by!

Perfectly fine hotel with a friendly, helpful staff. Money exchange counter in lobby is a bonus as well as being close to the train station.
Room was airless and hot. Air conditioner was present, but didn't seem to work. Booking online is much cheaper online than in person. And don't fall for the way overpriced breakfast buffet.

A bus service called the "Friendly Limousine Bus" goes directly from Narita Airport to Sunshine Hotel's front entrance! Saves first time travelers a heap of time and confusion! Highly recommended!
There is a Family Mart convenience store right inside the hotel! You will never be overcharged!
Sunshine City Department Store is connected to this hotel! Although the semi-double rooms in Sunshine City Hotel are a little small, it is designed so that it is self-contained and one can still expect all the conveniences a hotel should provide.
