good location (very close to JR/Shinkansen, subway and Keisei line to Narita airport), nice staffs, clean room, free internet access I had a pleasant stay at this hotel even the room is a little bit small for 2 ppl (double room). However, its convenient location and other pros like friendly staffs, cleanliness overweigh that con. Also, very easy to go to Narita Airport thru Keisei line which locates in a walking distance.

The location is excellent, right near the Ueno station. The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful (no big surprise in Japan). The room I had was a little narrow, and just a bit dingy. It seems to have been built about 20-30 years ago and not remodeled since then. I enjoyed my stay at the Touganeya Hotel, but it was nothing spectacular. The location, of course, is wonderful - right in the heart of the Ueno neighborhood, which is my favorite area of Tokyo. I reserved the room, because the Touganeya Hotel had three stars on the Agoda website. In fact, it was a two-star hotel and not close to three. The room was very mundane, nothing special, and a little narrow. However, the front desk staff were very courteous and helpful and I left with a pleasant feeling. The value was still good, and I had no complaints.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There is a public bath a few blocks away. If you've had a long day, go soak for an hour before bed - you'll feel fantastic.

Easy, easy to find. If you go to their website, they provide directions with pictures and landmarks. I NEVER got lost.
Staff was friendly. Always remembered my room number.
Room size was reasonable based on Japanese standards.
Internet connection in room was perfect. I have been to Japan many times. One of my biggest frustrations is arriving late in the day and spending hours trying to locate my hotel. This hotel provides "picture" and "landmark" directions on their web page. I found it in 5-minutes. Also, Ueno station is huge. With the landmarks provided by the hotel, no matter what entrance I came out of, I knew the direction to my hotel. The location at Ueno station is very convenient as many train and subway lines converge here. I will come here again.
Shopping Tip : A convenience store is located within 200-feet of this hotel. You can get soda, beer and snacks and stock the refrigerator in your room. It is convenient and a real money-saver.
