Good location but sub standard facilities
complementary hot spring, local attraction of game park and fish market are stone throw away, nice view

Staffs in hotel were extremely helpful, location of the hotel is good and in close proximity of local attractions.
Although the room was outdated and facilities inside the room was below expectation - given the price tag, overall the room was clean.
We were advised there were wired internet access inroom but it did not work.
We dined in the Japanese restaurant in the hotel in the evening, food and service were okay but we don't think it worth the price we paid - there may be better options in Wakayama city.

Nice but too quiet!
Bigger than usual Japanese room. If you want a privacy ones, this is it!

We have never been to Wakayama before but my husband wanted to go to onsen around Osaka ,so we chose this hotel. It seemed nice from the pictures. But it's too quiet . When we arrived there the Porto Europa nearby is closed, Tuesday. We couldn't get the room until3 pm, so we have to ride the free bus to get into town again. The receptionists were very helpful . Nice breakfast. Should go during high season/ summer?
Shopping Tip:
The fruits at Wakayama are very good. Strawberries are great! Buy them at Takashimaya at Wakayamashi station.
