The brightly lit and elegant, yet simple designs of the 217 guestrooms ease the tension after a busy day of work or tourism. Like most hotels in Yokohama, this one is positioned very near the Yokohama train station thereby making transfers to inner-city Tokyo, or all around Yokohama very simple and convenient. For a taste of nature while visiting be sure to visit the Taya Caves and for a important piece of history don’t miss the British Commonwealth War Graves, both located very near the grounds of the hotel. Luxurious, spacious rooms are a difficult thing to find in Japan, but the Camelot Hotel in Yokohama, delivers exactly that. Book your room now at Camelot Hotel via our secure online booking form. The first step is to enter and submit your travel dates in the spaces provided.

We were given a high room as requested and it had a good view. Possibly because it was on a corner and U - shaped, the room felt cramped; there was no bedside table and just one chair. The wardrobe consisted of a wall-mounted, single short rail that was not really adequate. The bathroom was compact and everything functioned well except the rinse dispenser on the wall. The TV was not tuned to any international station such as CNN or BBC World News. Internet access is provided and there is a power socket adjacent to the Ethernet socket on the front of the desk. A fridge is provided and tea + urn, but no coffee.
Reception staff were friendly and efficient but, worryingly when I collected the key to the room after each outing, only once was I asked to verify my identity. The breakfasts were OK.
Very close to the station, and easy access via the Diamond Centre. An imposing entrance. Friendly staff.
Our room for two people was small.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Turn left outside the hotel, walk about 200 - 300 metres West (over the river & the walk way across the road)and you will see an open area behind some bollards at a corner. Go into this area and head to the right towards the 'Yokohama City Municipal Disaster Prevention Centre'. Entry is free and there are many interesting exhibits, including an earthquake simulator, a smoke room (you are shown how to escape from this, also the blacked out 'power-cut room next to it). The staff are very friendly and helpful.

I had no hassles regarding the prepayment of this Agoda booking. Yet, I asked for a Non-Smoking room via Agoda, but I got stuck with a Smoking room.
If you want TV, you have to pay.
If you disposable room slippers, bring your own as they offer used leather slippers like most J-hotels (Sheraton provides disposable slippers).
- Restaurant Tip : This hotel is so close to many department stores, such as Takashimaya, JoinUs, CIAL, Lumine, and Sogo, all of which have their own casual and fancy restaurants. But what may not be obvious is a new mall called BAY QUARTER, which is on the bay and opened in August 2006. Bay Quarter is connected to Sogo via a skywalk and offers a Sea Bass Ferry slip. Bay Quarter offers some cool restaurants, including Wolfgang Puck's. If you walk toward most of its restaurants at night, you'll come to the best ground-level evening views of the MM-21 skyline, including Landmark Tower.
