Best features are location and a very nice breakfast. This may seem very small, but change your toilet paper. It is much too thin and always clogs up around the roller. The Star Yokohama Hotel turned out to be one of the nicest stays at a hotel in Yokohama. I have spent many years visiting Yokohama and just as many hotels. Just when I think that I have found the perfect hotel, changes are made and character of the place is lost.
The Star Yokohama Hotel offers all of the things that make a trip to Yokohama a delight. Perfect location, beautiful views from room terrace, a wonderful breakfast (included) and a very helpful staff.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : This hotel is indeed in the middle of everything and conveniently located to a metro station that can carry you anywhere (including all major train stations). Having traveled to yokohama for more that eighteen years, i can truly say this is the best location.

Strategic location by the Yokohama bay & Yamashita Park. Room was clean and comfortable Breakfast selection was good with a mix of continental & Japaneese food. However the menu did not change so for a week's stay it was kinda boring For a first time visitor to Yokohama & Japan, the hotel is strategically located close to attractions (sightseeing & shopping) around Yokohama such as Chinatown, Motomachi shopping street, Doll Museum, several parks & the Motomachi-Chukagai station. Breathtaking view of Cosmoworld and port especially at night. The hotel staff were friendly and service was good. However I suggest the breakfast menu would change after several days though! Nevertheless I trully enjoyed my stay here
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : For a first time visitor to Yokohama & Japan, the hotel is strategically located by the Yokohama Bay & Yamashita Park. As our trip was actually for a conference besides sightseeing, the nearest train station, Motomachi-Chukagai just 5 mins walk was convenient to go to the Minato-Mirai area.A lot of interesting places for sightseeing (Chinatown, several parks, Museums), well as shopping at Motomachi

Good location. Breakfast was great, had fun just watching folks take their dogs for walks.
