Great Service @ Le Bel Air
9.7
Service was great from the moment we set foot in Luang Prabang. We booked a room for 4 nights, but due to some delays we weren't able to make it for the first night: we arrived at 9 am. Staff told us they weren't able to refund the room (as we already knew), but they offered us a nice upgrade to a riverside bungalow! On top of that, we were able to extend our stay (in the bungalow) with a nice discount.
The hotel has fantastic views over the Old Bridge and the river. It's a bit far from town, but you can use bicycles for free, plus there's a free shuttle service every now and then.
We loved it!

Very good value for the money
Size and comfort of the room. Views of the Mekong.
8.3
Very nice and clean room with great views of the Mekong. The staff is incredibly nice. They drove us to the airport and you can get for free their bikes. It is not centrally located, but the city is really small.
Restaurant Tip:
Go to Utopia Bar

Fantastic riverside location.
Comfortable rooms, lovely garden, free bike loan and attentive staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed Luang Prabang and this hotel is a peaceful place to stay, set in a well manicured, peaceful garden by the river. The rooms are spacious and ours was in a row of 4. The sound proofing was not great and, as we were on the ground floor, could hear people talking and tramping around on the wooden floor above, which could have been annoying but luckily this did not happen at night.

Highly recommended
Beautiful garden by the river and the old bridge, nice staff and very pleasant room.

Some people might see the location as a minus since it's a 15 minute walk from town. We found the location perfect since it is away from the traffic and very lush. And if it's too warm to walk it's a very short tuctuc ride. It's hard to believe that this lovely hotel don't have for stars yet.
Restaurant Tip:
Tamarind has the best food y far. Villa Santi is also very nice and atmospheric.

Lovely view of the river, relaxing atmosphere, complimentary use of hotel bicycles

Lovely hotel...the walk to the center of town was only a problem for me at night, when crossing the bridge with no lights was a challenge. Free use of bicycles was a plus. Highly recommend this spot for a nice relaxing atmosphere. Staff was very accomodating.

OUr stay at this hotel was great, very relaxing, enjoyable. THe rooms, garden and dinning area are beautiful, staff fantastic, and food (Laos food, not so much western food) is great. It is not located downtown, but has more space, and access to downtown is very easy. Fantastic deal for the money paid.

Le Bel Air
The way the Hotel is perfect managed with kindness and friendlyness
9.7
It was ar very, very pleasant stay. The Managing Director Mr Sommuek Bounsa is very professionel and at the same time a very pleasant person, who really takes care of the guests.
The Hotel is placed direct to the River in pleasant very silent
green surroundings.
There was free wi-fi, free bicycles, free transport to and from the airport.
It takes only 10.-15. mins to wallk into the center of the city. There is also a free shuttle from the Hotel. The walk was no problem and pleasant.
I will use this wonderfull place again, if I return to Luang Prabang.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The waterfall-tour is a must. So much beauty.

Le Bel Air Boutique Resort
The garden is beautiful, as well as the position on the river, where you could watch the fisherman, the people walking across the bridge etc.

The staff at the Bel Air are so wonderful that we had only booked for 3 nights originally then booked another 4. They are so happy to help and obliging. The Laos people are such beautiful people. Every staff member we spoke to were absolutely helpful, from the manager to the breakfast staff, to the boys at the bar, the gardeners and the cleaners. The room was always made up immaculately. We had a bungalow which was perfect for us. If you want a place to truly relax at and unwind, this is it.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The cooking class at Tamnoak is a lot of fun. Do not miss doing the elephant trek. I did the day ride, trek and swim at the falls. Just sensational!
