We thought to spend one night, but after this one , we've booked two more nights. The location is very great at just a few minutes to everything, the staff was very helpful and kind. Thanks to Richard and Andrew for their welcomme. We recommend this hotel, the breakfast was outstanding in the charming private garden. We'll go back, that is for sure.
Best location in a historical center, beautiful garden, helpful staff, and a nice owner.
Nothing. Please can you hang up a painting above the bathub, please.

I spent 3 nights here and found that its ratings given by TripAdvisor (#2 in LP) to be fully deserved and justified. The rooms were in tip top condition and had timber walls and floors which gave them a rustic as well as an elegant character. The staff were jst wonderful, no request were too difficult to oblige. Breakfast was nutritious and adequate. Overall this is a GH/Hotel I would return to in the future.
Comprehensive facilities, helpful and friendly staff and owners, Inexpensive, everything working in hotel room, well maintained great ambience, quiet and convenient location.

We enjoyed our stay at the Lotus Villa but would not describe it as a hotel but rather a guesthouse. It does not have any of the facilities a hotel would normally have. Entry is straight off the street into a small room where two computers are located with free internet access and the reception desk. At the rear is the doorway to the really sweet courtyard where the fruit, juice, and two egg with baquette and coffee breakfast is served. The Lotus is built entirely of timber which gives a lovely warm and cosy atmosphere. Our room was upstairs with a generous balcony overlooking the courtyard which has a couple of enormous banana trees flourishing in the warm conditions. The staff are friendly and the Australian Manager most helpful. We would recommend the Lotus on the understanding that its facilities are limited but it's charm makes up for that.
Quiet and serene with lovely small courtyard. Lotus Villa is located at the northern end of town in a secluded area.
Very small room with no bar fridge or tv. We managed without the tv but a fridge would have been very useful. Bathroom rather spartan in terms of shelving and the water pressure was very poor.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Close to the Mekong River with boats for hire and lots of restaurants on the river bank. Also close to Wat Xieng Thong which is the oldest Wat in town and very lovely. This area has the most active Wats and the morning alms giving takes place right outside the front door!
