a short stopover at lpg, very pleasant stay, definitely will find another time to go back. the hotel is a traditional wood house, quiet, clean, nice small garden. service is excellent, very friendly staff. breakfast is also good. overall, quite satisfied.
Travel tip:
waterfall is a must go place.

The rapidly changing accomodation scene in Luang Prabang is and will mean this previously good hotel will need to reposition itself . The facilities are sparce , the shower wets the toilet and why would you want the bath right next to your bed ?

Good and quiet location - just where the morning monks pass by. Nice garden, good breakfast.

Pleasant stay

Check in was easy with our Agoda voucher and our room was ready. The Lotus Villa has a nice open courtyard that the owners said was designed so the guests could get to know one another, but it also had areas for privacy. In the planning stage is a cover for guests to enjoy the courtyard during the rainy season--we were there in the dry season so it did not affect us. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. It took us a while to notice that there was no TV in the room, which was fine with us because even when there is a TV in a hotel room we rarely turn it on. Great breakfast with a choice of items. Would we stay at The Lotus Villa again? Yes.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Lotus Villa is in a great location to walking exploration of Luang Prabang.

The hotel was in a great location, easy to wander around the city from there. The breakfast was also good. The room and premises were clean and included (spotty) free wifi.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The monks pass right in front of the hotel every morning around 6am. It's a neat thing to (respectfully) see, but an even more interesting process to participate in.

The most comfortable bed in Indochina

We had a momentary feeling of disappointment when we realized their was no TV. That quickly passed. Otherwise the room was very nicely appointed, and with a fabulous bed.
We loved the courtyard for breakfast, for reading in the afternoon and for G&Ts before dinner.
Staff was great. Location is good (but that will be true for most properties in LP.
All in all one of our nicer stays in 6 weeks in Thailand, Laos and Vietnam.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If interested, ask the staff for assistance with alms giving. They will arrange for sticky rice and give you pointers.

Our stay at the Lotus Villa Hotel was quite pleasant & would not hesitate to accommodate there again. The hotel is centrally located near shops & restaurants but on a quite street away from noises. Staff is pleasant & breakfast delicious.
