This is an absolutely delightful place to stay in a quiet and attractive street between the two rivers and just off the busiest part of a a beautiful town full of character. The room was very comfortable and very clean, and the garden outside was extremely attractive in the (much-needed) shade of a banana palm. Breakfasts were excellent. No TV in the room - but that was probably a good thing.

Lotus Villa, Luang Prabang - Laos, is a quiet retreat from the sometimes tourist mass of this UNESCO World heritage site. Located on the early morning monks' route, it is an excellent place for alms giving/viewing/respectfully photographing. The staff is English fluent and very friendly and accommodating for both lodging and touristic needs. The garden, where the cooked-to-order breakfast is served, is a quiet oasis for meeting other guests or solitude. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed with a feel of colonial Laos without giving up modern amenities such as functional toilet and air conditioning. The location is ideal for visiting the old Laotian Royal capital.
location, breakfast garden, cooked-to-order breakfast, friendliness and English proficiency of staff, spacious well-decorated rooms.

- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Morning alms for the monks / Tamarind restaurant (excellent for eating and their cooking school) down the street.

generally nice boutique hotel with very friendly staff. Beautiful garden area for dining. Limited other amenities
Small, coveniently located, quiet attentive friendly staff, free wireless internet and 2 for use in lobby limited breakfast
Expensive, compared to several others recently opened, No shampoo - afraid of plastic disposal but their are other strategies small rooms
- Restaurant Tip : Tamirand restaurant excelled local cooking
Would not choose this hotel again.

Location is good, but so is location of all the hotels in LP.
Small room, so dimly-lit that reading is impossible. Must go through the shower before getting to commode so bathroom is wet and slippery.
Awesome Hotel!

The Lotus villa was an excellent hotel and I am very glad that I stayed there. It has a good location. It was very clean and had free internet.
The room was very comfortable. The bed was really comfortable! I would go back in a second! Great, helpful staff.
Breakfast for some could get a little boring, but we loved the fruit and bagette.

We had a beautiful stay at the Lotus Villa. The staff was all very friendly. The location is great, just off the main street and down a block or two from all the action so you don't have to listen to it if you just want to relax. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We thought to spend one night, but after this one , we've booked two more nights. The location is very great at just a few minutes to everything, the staff was very helpful and kind. Thanks to Richard and Andrew for their welcomme. We recommend this hotel, the breakfast was outstanding in the charming private garden. We'll go back, that is for sure.
Best location in a historical center, beautiful garden, helpful staff, and a nice owner.
Nothing. Please can you hang up a painting above the bathub, please.

I spent 3 nights here and found that its ratings given by TripAdvisor (#2 in LP) to be fully deserved and justified. The rooms were in tip top condition and had timber walls and floors which gave them a rustic as well as an elegant character. The staff were jst wonderful, no request were too difficult to oblige. Breakfast was nutritious and adequate. Overall this is a GH/Hotel I would return to in the future.
Comprehensive facilities, helpful and friendly staff and owners, Inexpensive, everything working in hotel room, well maintained great ambience, quiet and convenient location.

We enjoyed our stay at the Lotus Villa but would not describe it as a hotel but rather a guesthouse. It does not have any of the facilities a hotel would normally have. Entry is straight off the street into a small room where two computers are located with free internet access and the reception desk. At the rear is the doorway to the really sweet courtyard where the fruit, juice, and two egg with baquette and coffee breakfast is served. The Lotus is built entirely of timber which gives a lovely warm and cosy atmosphere. Our room was upstairs with a generous balcony overlooking the courtyard which has a couple of enormous banana trees flourishing in the warm conditions. The staff are friendly and the Australian Manager most helpful. We would recommend the Lotus on the understanding that its facilities are limited but it's charm makes up for that.
Quiet and serene with lovely small courtyard. Lotus Villa is located at the northern end of town in a secluded area.
Very small room with no bar fridge or tv. We managed without the tv but a fridge would have been very useful. Bathroom rather spartan in terms of shelving and the water pressure was very poor.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Close to the Mekong River with boats for hire and lots of restaurants on the river bank. Also close to Wat Xieng Thong which is the oldest Wat in town and very lovely. This area has the most active Wats and the morning alms giving takes place right outside the front door!
