Good value for money.
Nice old world charm.
Rooms comfortable and air conditioned.
Interesting pool, but served the purpose.
Bathroom water pressure not great.
Pool surround needs work.
Quaint hotel in a location near the centre of Luang Prabang. A 15 minute interesting walk to the centre of town and the night market. Tuk Tuk was always available if needed. Rooms OK and the hotel did have a pool. Pool surrounds a bit squishy during the wet season. Staff were OK. Free airport transfer available. The hotel is in need of a little bit of work but overall we enjoyed our stay and the hotel is great value for money. Would stay again.
Restaurant Tip : If breakfast is not included, you can get a great breakfast at Joma Cafe - across from the market.

The buffet breakfast looked unexciting but we found that additional dishes (eg omelette or rice soup) could be ordered. The staff were helpful but seem not to have been trained to volunteer information.
The hotel's location, ten minutes or so gentle walk from the night market, might deter some but is not a serious inconvenience. A new shopping arcade has been established a block from the hotel and the silversmith area is within easy reach.
Free transportation back to the airport was a bonus.
Restaurant Tip : The Korean barbeque restaurant on the bank of the Mekong ( go down to the river and then walk upstream for about 200 yards) was the cheapest and one of the tastiest meals we had in Laos.

The hotel is quiet and spacious, just a short walk from the historic centre. The room and balcony to the front were very attractive.
The pool area is a bit suburban rather than resort like, and when I was there there were renovations underway, but it was still a nice place to stay.
This hotel has a very distinctive architectural style that is quite grand, which belies its very quiet and homey atmosphere. The rooms are very good quality and the service is very friendly. While it is not in the 'centre' of Luang Prabang's tourist area, it is a pleasant walk away, and the local neighbourhood is still very interesting. I would stay here again.
Hotel Feature Tip : The offices of Lao Airways are just round the corner, so you can easily book a flight out if you decide you cannot face the 9 hour bus ride back to Vientiane!
