The New Daraphet Hotel is a small quaint hotel near the main Night Market. It is a close walk to all amenities that Luang Prabang has to offer. They offer a reasonable breakfast with healthy options. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They are apart of a larger chain of MyLao Hotels located in the city.

The breakfast was fab, can't remember the last time we had such a good selection.
The shower was also excellent
Well we read the reviews and thought the rooms couldnt be that small? YES they were, this was areal shame, there was just no room for bags!! we found ourselves having to sit on the bed while each of us was getting ready.
We arrived and were shown to the worlds smallest hotel room! we booked a double but were informed that they only had twins, not good.
The internet was down, no wireless we were told this would be for 2 weeks, ashame because this was a reason we chose this hotel.
On leaving the room one night we closed the door and the door knob came off in my hand!!! we were then told by reception that we would have to pay for the breakage!!! We explained this wasnt fair which they then agreed.
In short the hotel was a little strange but the breakfast was excellent.
Restaurant Tip : Great buffet at the night market, just around the corner in a car park next to the post office

- a little expensive for staying many nights
I stayed at New Daraphet for 2 nights. The hotel is quite new,well-organized & chic .
The owner is Singapore. Location is the best advantage.
It is also perfect place for Honeymoon if you book Deluxe room(with Jacuzi). Staff is helpful.
However resturant is closed on 10 PM.
If you would like to drink till late, you have to find other BAR.I recommend drinking at Mekong river.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : I recommend sailing Mekong in the afternoon & tasting beerlao at night
