Ramayana Boutique Hotel Luang Prabang Info
Built in the early 19th cnetury, this was used as a meeting hall by the monarchy and today is listed as a World Heritage Site. There is much to see in the city, rent a bike or walk the streets. You can also take a riverboat to see the Buddha Caves. The hotel is walking distance to the Royal Palace, Night Market and restaurants. The outdoor Sida Garden Restaurant & Bar on-site serves Asian as well as Western dishes and is the perfect setting to enjoy the evening. Opened in 2007, Ramayana Boutique Hotel & Spa is one of the few places in Luang Prabang offering a luxurious stay.
Please note that the construction is currently underway at the back of the hotel. We apologize for any inconveniences.

Less and 200 feet walk to everything. Stylish accomodations.
Very cute, unique hotel. You can see palace from hotel. Near to the night market and morning market. All temples and restaurants, mekong river are within walking distance. Very Helpful staff.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Dont book Pak Ou Cave trip with any shops. Go directly to the pier by 8AM. It will be only 50K kip by purchasing directly at the pier.

Right next to morning markets, on the Monk route in the morning, a stones through from the night markets, hop, skip and a jump to the Mekong River, and a stroll to the town centre.
We just loved it here. The staff were amazingly accomodating and friendly. The service was great. We were able to comfortably enjoy the facilities while our children were sleeping since the hotel was so small and well set out. The rooms are tastfully decorated and comfortable. It really is just such an idyllic spot.

Good location, close to night market, morning market, restaurants, etc. Nice looking property.
The breakfast is fine, with quick service. The people are very nice and go out of their way to be helpful.
The rooms lack any seating other than on the bed. The lighting is dim, so in inclement weather you are stuck in a dimly lit room, sitting on a bed trying to read. There is no pool or patio (at least not on our side of the building.)
Our first room was damp and smelled of mildew. the bed (mattress on floor platform) was hard and we slept poorly. We were offered three other rooms at the same price, but they had the same beds. The staff re-made the bed and put another comforter on under the sheet, to add more padding. Because of the mold, we asked about upgrading to a "suite." They immediately moved us upstairs to a much larger room with a raised bed, jacuzzi tub, and Lao-style seating area. We slept well and awoke to a rain storm - at which time we found out the roof leaked! A strategically placed wastebasket caught the water...but we decided it was time to move on.
Hotel Feature Tip : the front of the hotel is noisy in the early mornings; the rear tends to be damp and smells of mildew. I'd opt for a side room; they have little patios in front.
