Beautiful hotel, extremely helpful staff, and excellent breakfast. The atmosphere of this hotel is unique and very authentic with the temple next door.

The only weakness is that the floors and doors are noisy. The beautiful wooden planks of the floor squeak if guests are wearing rubber soled shoes.

Our introduction to Luang Prabang was startling and exciting as we walked through one of the temples and monasteries to get to Villa Maydou. The welcoming and staff care shown to our family was exceptional in their warmth and helpfulness. The rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable, and breakfast was copious and enjoyed in a beautiful outdoor garden. We wish we had had more time to enjoy the hotel and the sites in Luang Prabang.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : This hotel is outside the main tourist area and there are several ways to walk into town. The several ways into and around town allow visitors to see local neighborhoods not necessarily accessed to most of the tourists who stay in or very near the main streets of the town.

Beautiful territory, nice rooms

rather far from the centre

It took us time to take a taxi at the airport as taxi drives didn't know this hotel. So we were anxious about it. So the greater was our enjoiment when we finally arrived: - beatful territory just next to the temple, - stylish, neat and perfectly furnitured rooms, - nice staff The only disadvantage could be half a mile distanse to the Luang Probang centre.

Just a little off the beaten path, beautiful interior, spacious rooms, very friendly staff, great food

When we arrived they first couldn't find our reservation. After traveling for more than 24 hours this made me quite nervous.

This hotel is just a little off the beaten path, a ten minute walk to the center of Luang Prabang. It is relaxing to be away from all the hustle and bustle in the city and yet be close enough to take a stroll to the main street at any time. The staff at the hotel is super friendly (as are most people in Luang Prabang). They are a bit shy, but try their best at English. The American breakfast was always very fresh and tasty. The room was vey clean, had a beautiful atmosphere , soft sheets and a great bathroom. This hotel is on the pricey side for Laos, but it was worth every penny. I would definitely stay here again.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take a walk over the small bridge to cross the river and stroll to the paper village (30 minutes). There you will find , next to hand made paper, a wonderful weaving shop with the most beautiful scarfs, table clothes etc. Everything dyed with natural dyes.

Beautiful, spacious rooms, some with terrace - "dining room" in the open air, surrounded by palm trees

All would be helpful if, when the staff, the English language better understood

The rooms reflect the character of the local culture. The furniture is made from local materials and provide cozy comfort. Unfortunately, they are a bit dark at night so that you can not read well. - The food is excellent and the service very courteous. The non-central location is rather a disadvantage, so far voted for us, the price is not quite.

Hotel Feature Tip : For guests who prefer an oasis on the edge of a bustling city

The beautiful old house style, the hotel was a great atmosphere.

Some distance away from the center and the location was a bit inconvenient.

Unlike reinforced concrete hotels and large, simply good mood anyway. To families and couples can be especially recommended. The price is a little張RIMASU, I also spend a good temporary occasional luxury.
