Peaceful green surroundings, delightful landscaping, well made and decorated rooms, friendly staff, great swimming pool and surround
low water pressure and luke warm water in the room, food not up to standard of the rest of the hotel
This is one of the most pleasant and relaxing hotels/resorts we have stayed in during some 20 years of living in Asia, currently we live in Laos.
The location outside Luang Prabang is a big advantage in our opinion, and the free shuttle bus service about once an hour makes it easy to get to and from town when you want to.
It is quite expensive for an out-of-town hotel, probably over-priced if not discounted.
We would happily stay there next time we are in Luang Prabang, as long as the rooms are not more expensive than at present.

far away from the city center inspite of the shuttle
beautiful local decor. nice rooms and gardens. Th e pool seems to be only usable in the afternoon as mornings are foggy. tHE HOTEL IS FAR AWAY FROM THE CITY LIFE but there is a shuttle with a definite schedule Restaurant is expensive and not worth it for diner. Breakfast buffet however is good and plentiful.
Steam room was out of order and sauna quite expensive

The setting, service and food were great. We had a massage at the spa and it was well appointed and the service very professional. The welcome drink of cold lemon grass tea is not to be missed.
Access to Luang Prabang needs some serious improvement. The times for the hotel shuttle were not very conducive and due to the remoteness, access to a taxi or tuk-tuk was rare and very costly.Even rental or courtesy bicycles would be a great improvement
Initially our stay was booked at the resort whick is outside of Luang Prabang (about 6Km). On arrival the driver would not take us as he had a load to go to the hotel. Pre-arranged pick-up had apparently not been conveyed. Previous reviews have also cited the lack of reply from Villa Santi to emails, so best be prepared. This did not detract t the wonderful staff and service we received. Trying to get a ride on the "frequent shuttle" was also difficult and they travel about every 3 hours one way. We began to walk but ended up flagging a tuk-tuk and paid way too much, but not much alternative. The remote location is great and the still and quiet is broken by the sounds from the local temple, of the call to and actual prayers. A very nice way to wake up. They have done extensive work at the facility and it is beautiful. The ongoing construction did not do much for the ambiance of the pool, but it was actually pretty minimal. We had the breakfast and it is incredible extensive catering to western, European and Asian tastes all at once. It is always fresh and more than enough. The staff from front desk to maintenance were wonderful. The only exception was one particular driver. Having been here previously, he is at least consistent in his lack of enthusiasm or engagement.
Hotel Feature Tip : You really need to get out and wander the property which is extensive and beautifully maintained. It can feel like you are in your own world.

Beautiful setting and landscaping
Very professional staff
Excellent Food (The best in Luang Prabang in our experience--Breakfast are wonderful)
Cleanliness of rooms
Traditional Music and Dance
Quiet and peaceful but close enough to town.
Villa Santi is a beautiful place, well-maintained by a very effective and congenial staff. The setting and landscaping is beautiful and relaxing. It is quiet and peaceful although not far from town (just 10-15 minutes by shuttle). The good is excellent with particularly good breakfast. One can enjoy beautiful traditional music and dance.

Nice view
Good food
Best hospitality
Free shuttle bus and downtown
I think this hotel is very good food and beverage, nice view, very minded service.
Moreover, you can see a free shuttle bus and van between downtown and hotel. However I suggest the hotel manager to change the timetable to early morning.

Beautiful grounds in rural setting. The restaurant is both good and surprisingly reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant. Even the drinks were reasonable!
Far from the city center with inconvenient transportation.
This would be a great hotel for someone wanting to relax in a remote spa environment while keeping the option open of making an occasional trip into Luang Prabang to see the temples and sights. If your main goal is seeing the sights/culture rather than relaxing int he spa, however, you would probably be better off at an in-town establishment, including Villa Santi's sister hotel located right in the city center.
While the grounds were gorgeous, our room was definitely on 3-star quality.
Hotel Feature Tip : If you want to divide your time between sightseeing and relaxing, ask Villa Sante about splitting your stay between their spa and their centrally-located hotel in Luang Prabang. They will happily take care of your transfer and make the switch very easy.

Miles from town.
Pool under reconstruction.
Lovely hotel - but what makes a resort - to me it means a swimming pool - this one was under reconstruction. We only booked here because of the pool and we received no apology or anything, just basically "tough luck". It's miles out of town amidst beautiful gardens, but only 4 other people seemed to be staying there. No atmosphere, very, very quiet. Good place to hide completely if that's what you want. We were very bored.
Nightlife Tip : Absolutely nothing but the sound of frogs croaking to keep you awake.

You feel like a princess.
Road to the hotel needs to be fixed, soon.
It was a very very beautiful resort hotel, it is not in the center of Luang Phabang but the bus sent you to the town 7 times a day and pick you up from the town will help alot. It is very nice, not in the middle of the town, you can totally relax in the resort. There are so many wild nature around the resort that you cannot feel it in the town.
You can see beautiful mountains and ricepads, and stars at night.
Nightlife Tip : Stay at the hotel daytime and take the bus to town at night for restaurants.

beautiful room, very beautiful.
The work of building a new wing began around 7:30 in the morning and woke us. Not enough transfer between the hotel and Luang Prabang, the obligation to pay a taxi or a tuk tuk. It should be noted that it was difficult to assess distance on the map provided at booking on the internet.
