Once the palace of Jao Boon Oum, the last king of Lao, the palace was renovated into a hotel and retains its former charms. Located in the heart of Pakse District, a short way to the Sedone River and Wat Pra and the Lane Xang Bank, the hotel is within walking distance of the Tourism Authority and Wat Pra Bat. The town centre is a short ride away by local taxi (tuk-tuk). The hotel boasts beautiful colonial architecture and the sweeping verandas give majestic views of the beautiful countryside. A very enjoyable short stay in a glamorous hotel.
It's size and grandness on top of the hillside just out of the main city centre.The relaxing atmoshere and the very friendly helpful staff.

Our stay was very enjoyable and relaxing in a very attactive building.It was a good starting point to venture out and enjoy atmoshere and sights of Paske and surrounding towns.

Rooms are clean and comfortable though in need of some TLC in a magnificent building. Bathroom was clean and functional. Staff are helpful but often do not speak English. Breakfast buffet was adequate. It remains my favourite hotel in Pakse.
