Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Good clean rooms with helpful and attentive staff but many noisy tour groups staying. Not really geared for the business traveler but good for tour groups

Beautiful colonial style hotel with simple rooms
Nice architecture at a good location, ideal base for exploration in and around Pakse
7.3
most remarkable is the hotel's architecture which really reminds you of the colonial times of laos. the appearance is very well maintained, with a very nice restaurant and a river-view terrace.
the rooms are simple and clean, but not luxurious. if one uses the hotel as a base for exploration everything is there that is needed. the staff is friendly. english is spoken.
the breakfast was very simple, besides the asian food in the moring like fried rice etc. there is not much for westerntaste except bread, butter and jam.
overall, for the money charged, this is a very fairly priced accommodation.

beautiful looking hotel
very nice building especially at night

Nice big room with comfy clean beds. Nice bathroom with bath and all the usual free stuff. WiFi in the room was a little tempremental, which could make it frustrating to log on. Reasonably close to the main travellers strip and all the usual restaurants. Breakfast was okay, and we ate in the restaurant on our first night, again the food was good but nothing spectacular. We stayed 2 nights and it was very nice.

Beautiful building, but needs maintenance
Big rooms, great breakfast, nice bathrooms,
7.3
The rooms were very big but very tired, and the wifi was only accessible on the lobby. The building itself is very impressive but doesn't look like it's been touched since it was built. The staff struggled with their English but were very attentative to the room.
The hotel is only a small walk from the town and all the other guesthouses.
Overall a little overpriced, best off staying in one of the many cheap guesthouses in town.

Imposing appearance
Easy to find. Spacious rooms with internet cable in superior room.
6.7
Breakfast buffet for westerners was limited and replaced by a la carte after 8 am. Isolated location makes it quiet, distance to other venues about 1 km.

Impressive looking hotel
Comfortable rooms, nice view

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my Thai girlfriend.
It's certainly a grand looking hotel from outside and the interior looked good as well and wasn't too bad. The room was clean and comfortable although only twin beds but that was my fault for not specifying a double when I booked. Being able to walk round most of the hotel using the verandah and view the city was one of the better things about the hotel. The hotel was very quiet the first night so the breakfast wasn't the usual buffet. We went out the first night to eat as hotels are usually very expensive and it's always nice to get out and try somewhere else. The second night we ate in the hotel as it was reasonably priced and fairly good. My Thai girlfriend does most of the talking so I'm not too sure about the english language skills but I think it should be OK if you're patient and get the right person. Altogether good for the money, not too bad for location but maybe could do with a bit of maintenance.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
My girlfriend wanted to see a temple and/or a waterfall (not sure which ones)but even she couldn't manage to organise transport and since we were only there 2 days we found enough to do anyway. Might be easier with more people (our original plan would have had at least 5 of us)or perhaps plan a bit ahead if you;re there for a bit longer.
