Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

This hotel is worth staying in for the Price and locality. It is quiet, overlooking the river and a temple. Close to shops and restaurants.

a comfortable hotel but very dated. In need of TLC

In its day the Champasak Palace must have been quite a splendid hotel, but sadly time and what appears to be a lack of reinvestment in the building makes it a sad reflection of its former being. It has a good location overlooking the city, mountains and a tributary to the Mekong River depending on the room location. I had a river view. Each floor has colonnades around so consequently the rooms are set back a little and consequently slightly darker inside. The reception was a little better than luke warm. The room was dated with carpets (I prefer tiles, much cleaner). The bed was comfortable. The only WiFi reception is in the lobby. No English language TV, mainly Thai, despite the in room information sheet stating that BBC and CNN were available. An electricity blackout left the room in total darkness, no back up generator, and the outside window covers had to be jammed open. The hotel needs to do a lot on both the infrastructure and staff training.

I have stayed many times and will stay again
Impressive building, stand-alone rooms with all round views, central location

Rooms are clean and comfortable though in need of some TLC in a magnificent building. Bathroom was clean and functional. Staff are helpful but often do not speak English. Breakfast buffet was adequate. It remains my favourite hotel in Pakse.

horrible, would suggest everyone to avoid
never judge a book by it's cover

Horrible. the hotel is so run down. Cracks and leaks in the walls and ceiling. we just left the hotel booking the following day. We stayed at the hotel next door. What contrast! Although it was slightly more expensive and we also lost $ for a couple nights (3 rooms) at the Champasack Palace Hotel booking!...it was worth every penny. Stay away from the hotel...be warned.

Good breakfast, airport shuttle, close to restaurants.

The stay was brief, comfortable, with a decent breakfast. Staff were helpful in getting us a ride to the airport when the driver didn't show up. We would stay here and recommend it to others.
