Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Past glory
Good location near the river
5.3
while the room was clean and reasonably modern it was without hot water in the shower. the fan was hard to regulate and decided to stop of its own accord.going to dinner around 7pm the lights were off in the corridor.eating at the adjoining sisouk cafe was disappointing..orders didn't arrive as the staff went to the verandah for eating.breakfast was poor so after this one night we decided to try another place upon our return from the river cruise..not worth the money..as well the antiquated lift was a challenge!

Fantastic new hotel with great decor
Cafe on the top floor where you have breakfast
8.3
This is a lovely new hotel that features dark stained wood floors, clean linen and lovely bed runner, flowers etc. It is on the edge of town but is only a short walk to the main street and the market is just round the corner. Breakfast was fantastic in the roof top cafe and there is good wifi throughout the hotel.

comfortable beds & pillows!
8.7
I found this hotel to be very comfortable & in quite a convenient location. Staff were friendly & very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful & on the top floor so view was supurb looking over the mekong. The lift may have been slow but it was charming & full of character.
Hotel Feature Tip:
nice cafe attached to hotel. Hotel is also very close to bus pick up which is very handy.

Amazing boutique hotel
Gorgeous old colonial building lovingly renovated
9.7
the place is immaculate. location is square in the center of town. there is a wonderful bakery/cafe off the lobby. the rooftop breakfast is very nice. the management is the same family that built the original family house there three generations ago. the communists took it away, then gave it back (after ripping out the mahogany floors and burning them). the renovation is lovely and the old vintage french elevator is a treat. highly recommended.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Vat Phou Mekong River cruise is the bomb!!! it is amazing. relaxing but fascinating, a visit to Vat Phou a charming Khmer temple with Angkor period carvings in a mountain setting, incredible food sourced in the local villages. The trip of a lifetime, and I have had a lifetime of exotic travel.

Great location, homely feel
Friendly atmosphere, a bit of Laos istory
9.3
This is a lovely small guest house run by the owner. It is well run, maintaining the history of the house. The breakfast was great as was the cafe at the street level. Only negatives were that our shower screen needed attention and the balcony furniture needs replacing. Overall, a very pleasant stay, the staff and the owner are very lovely and accommodating.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Wonderful river views in a charming old Laos home.

Charming Hotel With A Modern Edge
9.7
This charming hotel offers the perfect combination between old world and new. The staff are great and the food is delicious. The room and bathroom were a good size and clean. The common areas of the hotel were also well looked after. We would stay here again.
Restaurant Tip:
Check out the Xuan Mai restaurant nearby and there's a guy who sells delicious desserts on the streets nearby too.

I got a tiny room for a couple, the two single beds took up the entire room and made things a little uncomfortable. The hotel have free wifi.

Not the best choice in Pakse
6
a tiny room on the 5th floor, 56 steps to climb and a dead-slow elevator. arrived 2 days early and the management made me move to a deluxe room for the second night for an additional charge, pretending that my single standard was not available for that night, which was definitely not true. i asked for tours to wat phou champasak and the bolaven plateau and they tried to sell me outrageously expensive deals which are much cheaper in tour agencies around town.when i asked to make an urgent phone call to bangkok, i was flatly turned down. for this room price there is a lot more comfort and better service to be had in other hotels in the vicinity.
